Chefman 4 QT Compact Air Fryer With Touchscreen

This is great for my son at college. Great if you only need a large serving or two.

Pero mi hija la tiene y es muy buena. Es propia para familias de 4 o 5 miembros o para personas que tienen invitados muy seguido.
Yo compré otra más chica que es suficiente para cocinar para dos personas y estoy encantada con ella.

ok so firstly i really appreciate the design of this thing. it’s sleek, minimal, and fits in beautifully with my otherwise updated kitchen.

now, when using it for the first time, there was a moderate burning plastic smell, and i could sort of taste it in the food. ive yet to use it a second time, so i will update my review then.

when i first plugged it in, i kept tapping the time/temp button, but it wouldn’t turn on until i held it for a little bit. the touch panel was very responsive afterward. the beeping isn’t too loud like my old air fryer. i can’t figure out if the cord is supposed to be retractable bc it looks like it should be, but it won’t.

it’s easy to use, cooks quite well. unlike the air fryers ive had in the past, this doesn’t have a separate basket & bucket (? idk what it’s called). there’s a grill-looking thing that slides in and out of the basket for easy cleaning. there’s silicone on its corners so it stays snug against the basket. there’s a hole in the middle of it for you to stick a finger through and take it out. it should go without saying to wait for the metal to cool down before trying to remove it.

i wasn’t too sure how big 4 quarts is, but i must say, it’s a LOT larger than i would’ve thought it’d be. because it’s not a separate basket design, it allows for more space when frying.

UPDATE: the plastic-y smell was gone at the second cooking, so the taste was gone too

We do already have an air fryer, made by the famous company whose name rhymes with Binja. I ordered a second fryer so that we could make two things at once, and that does allow me to do a pretty fair comparison. To cut to the chase: this cooks as well as the other on everything I have yet tried with it. If you want an air fryer that makes amazing tater tots, fries, steaks, roasts, chicken… the list goes on and on and on… this is a perfectly acceptable choice.
BUT: it promised a hi-fry setting (essentially the ability to turn the temperature up to 450° for the last few minutes) and the machine does not have it. The box said it had it, the literature said it had it, but the machine does not. Or it does, all of our attempts to make it come on have failed – and we are not technologically incompetent. And you can see from the pictures that it is not appearing on the control panel. I really really really ought to drop a star for that, but it produces such good food that I don’t want to. I don’t even think I would’ve used it anyway. It doesn’t seem to be necessary. Still, if you’re reading this, note that there is a potential four-star component.

Otherwise, the differences between this and my other brand are fairly insignificant. The biggest advantage this air fryer has is a “rounded square” basket than a purely round one. You can definitely fit more in, and it’s easier to separate everything. It also has an easier control panel and a see-through front with a light, so you able to check the food without disturbing the cooking. (If you use the silicone liners that does cut your view somewhat, so pick your convenience. ) And it is both quieter when working and by not beeping a zillion times halfway through and when done. It does chime, but it’s more of a sedate, calm, three beeps sort of a thing, not the “Hey! Pay attention to me NOW or else!!” yell of the other one.
The biggest disadvantage is that it doesn’t preheat automatically. It says in the literature to either add a little extra cooking time on if desired, or similarly to preheat it empty for 3 to 5 minutes. I have not found that the lack of preheating has made much of a difference other than adding a couple of minutes onto the cooking time. My version also maxes out at a temperature of 400°, which is slightly low.
But it cooks in about the same amount of time as the major brand, is as easy to clean (although the basket rack on this one is noticeably thinner and less coated) and takes up about the same amount of room on the shelf. I am quite pleased.

The air fryer has a delicate appearance and matches the color of other small appliances in the kitchen. I cleaned it inside and out and made egg tarts and hand-grabbed pancakes. It’s good, with many functions and fast operation. It’s very easy to use. It’s the first time I used an air fryer to make these, and none of them turned over. And this one doesn’t need to be turned over, it has a metal inner wall. It’s really nice and a good helper in the kitchen.

This air fryer is very good, there is no sound at all, the baked sweet potatoes are more delicious than those bought outside, it’s so convenient to bake whatever you want at any time, the quality of the air fryer is also very good, the appearance is high-end, I like it very much.
