So perhaps I am bring critical with my review here. There are some concerns and cons to this shelf, it isn’t perfect. But it is decent for the price, which is relatively cheap.
Pros:
-Price
-Easy Assembly
-Variety of colors and sizes to choose from
-Stackable
Cons:
-There are little plugs to cover screws. Plugs don’t fit nicely in the screws.
-11 x 11 cubes fit almost too snugly and it is difficult to remove fabric cubes because of how tight they fit
-I dislike the backing. It is cardboard which is cheap, but I wish it just slid in a track down the back side of the unit. Instead they give you a million little nails, and you need to be careful that the nails are lined up correctly while you hammer each nail in. It is tedious, easy to hammer the screws in unevenly and ruin the flimsy particle board.
– came with a few areas that looked like they were already chipping. I kept the unit anyway because it wasn’t very noticable.
It is a decent looking storage unit, but could be better. The price does make up for the small quality issues as these shelves are really cheap. But the hand off for them being so cheap, is that they probably won’t last more than a year to two.

for the price it’s a good piece of furniture. people who say it’s cheap or not sturdy (ya gotta wonder what they’re doing with it) are expecting waaaay to much from this item. I think it’s great. it was so easy to put together (1-person). it’s a perfect size for my room and I use the bottom cubby to put my shoes in until i move them to my closet at night. the cubbies are not small, but they are not your usual 11”x11”x10. make sure you get the 10.5”x10.5”x11” sized bins. i would definitely recommend this item.
the only problem at the moment is the first one i ordered came to me late and damaged. I returned it and still have not received my refund.<— oops! i did a replacement not a refund…so all is good. got a good piece of furniture for the price. And this piece came in quickly and UNdamaged.

I was a little skeptical of purchasing furniture online and with the kind of mixed reviews, I was unsure, however I went ahead and purchased the 9 cube and am super pleased. It was pretty easy to put together and I feel that the unit itself is pretty sturdy. Much like IKEA furniture. So not as thick as the expensive shelf at your local furniture store, but sturdy and great for the price. Product was delivered in a timely manner and I feel that for the price it was a great deal.
It was pretty dusty coming out of the box so make sure you have a rag handy.
Otherwise I am super pleased and wanted to write this review in case anyone else was out there on the fence about this.

Buen mueble, me gusta su diseño y me gusta el color gris que elegi, ha resultado de buena calidad para ser del material que és, a mí no me llegó con ningún golpe o detalle como otras personas mencionan, lo que no comprendo es el porqué del precio actual de 3000 mxn cuando yo lo compré por 1000 mxn aproximadamente, me parece excesivo ese precio, exelente mueble al precio que pague pero malo calidad-precio para el precio actual, si lo vuelvo a ver al precio anterior no dudaría en comprar un segundo mueble.

I gave this 5 stars for the ECONOMY of it, but feel I should clarify what this IS and IS NOT. THIS IS VERY BASIC ECONOMY LIGHTWEIGHT STORAGE AT A CHEAP PRICEPOINT.
This is NOT the same as the Ikea Kallax or Walmart Better Homes and Gardens level of reinforced sturdiness for holding heavier weighted items like books, nor are the interior cube dimensions compatible with those brands of 13″ or 12″ fabric cubes.
This IS: These shelves are ideal for lighter-weight storage such as baby/toddler clothes or kids toys— or in our case, the kids wanted LEGO display shelves for their 10×10 base-plate scenes and quick storage of random toys like Hotwheels, etc. When purchasing fabric cubes be sure they are the 10″ or 11″ dimensions. I found that “Mainstays” collapsible fabric cubes at Walmart fit nicely in here, but even better score was when I found some 11″ cubes at our Dollar Tree (bargain!). These ClosetMaid Cubeicals benefit from being anchored into a stud on the wall, rather than being used as stand-alone/free-standing shelves. The 9 cube = 3×3 could be tolerable/”okay” freestanding if you absolutely insist, but I also bought some 1×4 and those must be secured or they sway and wobble pretty noticeably.
A few miscellaneous notes: The 5 “shelf backings” arrive with a permanent creased fold down the middle-for shipping, and are made of thin poster-board like material. If this crease bothers you, just buy posterboard and cut your own backs to tack in. Or if you want something thicker, I imagine “foamboard” from the school supply aisle works great if you score it with a box-cutter.
When I tacked in the shelf backings, one of my shelves tore/split even though the tack went in straight and precisely where it should have. I chose to use wood glue to repair the piece rather than return the shelves.
This was fast and easy to assemble, the instructions were clear. We’ve had the shelves for two days now, so I may update this later on to report on durability.
Why I gave it 5 stars: The shelves fit our current purpose wonderfully, and I love that when I don’t require heavy duty weight bearing shelves, there is a very economical option I can snatch up. Eventually I do want the heavy duty, larger 13″ cube shelves from a major brand, but for now I appreciated paying less than forty bucks to have a 9 cube = 3×3 shelf, rather than eighty or one twenty bucks for 3×3 from the other brands. Later on, I will pay more to buy some that are textbook sturdy and can do more things.
The photos: You will notice I originally had 12″ cubes (white with blue petals), and realized I needed the 10 or 11″ cubes (beige/gray). Also I did show one photo of my 4 cube storage here, even though this is my review for the 9 cube (3×3).

We’re redoing our game room, and these will be perfect the for the project we have in mind. We are putting them in our game room for our puzzles, games, books, etc. We ordered five of them- I’ll update my review with a picture once it’s complete. So far, we’ve only put together one to make sure we liked them- and we do. I say “we” put them together, I had nothing to do with it- I watched as my husband did all the work, but he said it was simple and came with everything he needed. He didn’t cuss or complain once, so that’s a good sign. They’re very sturdy, my kids like to sit on them (7 & 10 yrs old) and they haven’t wobbled or snapped yet, so I’m thinking that’s another good sign. I highly recommend.
