Coleman Soft Cooler Bag | Insulated Lunch Cooler

**All I can say that this cooler is beyond amazing!!! I had 10 packs of beef sausage breakfast pattie’s, 2 small yogurts, and a pack of shredded cheese, along with 4 ice packs. I had a 2 1/2 days trip home. Kept the meat frozen wrapped in foil until I left and when I got home it was like it was left in a refrigerator. I was able to eat the meat immediately and freeze the others. Both the cheese and yogurt were still cold. I travelled by train so the weight of it was 27.5 lbs and although it was extremely heavy, I didn’t have any fears of tears or rips so it was very sturdy!! Especially with handling it with the other luggage I had. Best purchase ever!** I am going out of town and have to bring food back. It will be a 24+ hour trip back home. I wrapped frozen (round) hamburger meat in aluminum foil and placed in this cooler (with no ice or ice packs) for 24 1/2 hours. Didn’t open it at all. When I checked on it, was soft was still very cool touch. Just enough time to throw in the freezer and not go bad. I was really surprised that it held up so well and did for 24 hours. I did not test how many drinks could actually fit in this bag, but I feel it would do the job I need it to do for my travels. I will leave an update when I come back! 🙂

I bought this a couple of weeks ago, and have used it to take juice to work with me, when I’m off teaching for the entire day.

It’s working reasonably well. I put the cooler in the freezer the night before, then take it out in the morning and fill it with juice and reusable ice packs and cubes. The more ice I add, obviously, the better it works. I leave at 8 a.m., teach several classes, including an evening class, and come home around 10 pm. By that time, the juice is still cool, though not as chilled as it was in the morning.

Some have pointed out that this “9 Can Cooler” is pretty small, and might not hold 9 cans. If you want to take a lot of chilled food or drinks with you, you might want to buy the larger size. But for one person, for keeping a sandwich and a drink cold throughout the day, it works well.

P.S. One person posted a comment saying it doesn’t work to keep things cold. I would say, it’s not perfect. The longer you freeze this kind of cooler, the better it works. And after freezing it and putting the food in, if there’s extra space, add some ice packs or reusable ice cubes (which are plastic filled with frozen water). The longer you freeze it, and the more external ice you add, the longer it will keep food frozen.

I bought this for day trips out to the beach several months ago and I’ve been pleasantly surprised it keeps these as cold as it does, given the pricepoint and its flexible outer shell. It can keep my drinks cold for a solid 24 hours and my ice packs frozen for up to twelve, as long as I’m careful to keep it out of direct sunlight. The flap on the top is EXTREMELY useful for grabbing a quick drink without opening the whole lid and letting all the cold air out. There’s also a small pocket in the front I use to store napkins and other dry utensils. Inside, it’s massive and can easily store a twelve pack, some food, and
a couple of ice packs. It’s perfect for 2-4 people, but you won’t be packing a four-person lunch if you want a day’s worth of drinks. It’s also perfectly proportioned for a standard wine bottle to fit with everything else, for those extra-good days at the beach. For the price, I can hardly think of a better cooler to have.

En ambos hice varias pruebas con 1 Kg de cubos de hielos, 4 paquetes de hielo fresh and fit y 1 paquete de hielo Artic Ice Alaska de 2.5 lbs. La imagen muestra los mejores resultados en F y C, es base a mi experiencia. Resultados pueden variarles. Mejor decisión que hice, comprar la Coleman, y le cabe más ya que es suave la hielera y permite que se adapte más que la Titan que tiene charola.

We use this cooler in the car when we travel. Great size. Not too big or too small. Keeps drinks nice and cold. We always use blue ice packs so we never have leak issues. Love that it has a flap on the top to access contents. Makes getting a cold drink easier when in the car. No zipping! Would buy again.
