Love them, they are small and work great for a travel trailer and grandkids when they stay with us.

Really like this. I do alot of fishing and was looking for something small and light weight to carry on the boat. Use it as my regular sleeping bag. Nice and small package, but lots of room to sleep in.

I got this to go inside my -5 sleeping bag for winter camping. I tested it out in -1 weather and I was super toasty! Very soft and warm. Bulkier than I wanted by worth it to stay warm at night.

I just used it on a 2 night mountain hike. I have an older sleeping bag and expected the temp to drop below 0C. It was a perfect fit and added the warmth I needed. It is a little bulky for backpacking but was worth the space. I’m impressed with the zipper. It didn’t jam allowing easy opening in the morning. I’m very satisfied.

UPDATE: These bags *DO* zip together and can be combined to make a “2 person” bag. (Read below for my updates/explanation.)

We purchased these bags for car-camping with the kids. We usually throw a comforter over the top of us (with camping pads underneath), but wanted something to keep the drafts out and sort-of keep us together under the comforter. These worked great, the price is good, and we can combine them into one larger bag (after initially not figuring out how to unzip the zipper in order to combine them). Note – the price on these tends to vary often. I’ve seen the price range from $24 to $15 each.

Re. SIZE – the product description gives bag size (33 x 75 inches). When in the stuff sack, the product is about 6.5″ diameter x 11″ long.

Re. TEMPERATURE – with our comforter set-up we could probably be comfortable down to 25F (in a tent). People’s comfort level may vary, but alone the bags would probably be good for temperatures down around 55-60F. The fleece isn’t super thick. Using them as a sleeping bag liner, they will probably increase the temp rating of a bag by about 10 degrees.

DRAWBACKS – As some reviewers have indicated, the fleece material can “catch” on your legs if you move around a lot, but this is pretty typical of this type of liner. A silk liner inside this fleece bag might help, if you have that problem. Also, there is a gap between the the bottom end of the zipper and the fabric which can let a small amount of draft into the bag. I didn’t find this to be an issue. Finally, colors vary and you can’t choose color as of the writing of this review. This wasn’t a big deal for us – the colors we got were all pleasant in our opinion (we got orange and green).

Re. ZIPPER – I got 2 of these to zip together and make a larger 2-person sleeping sack. After purchasing two of these bags initially and returning them because the zipper didn’t seem to come completely off either side of the zipper “coil” (which is necessary to combine or zip together with another zipper), I noticed other customers hadn’t had the same problem. So I tried again and got 2 more. Turns out I am simply a zipper dunce. The front zipper handle has to be pulled/zipped completely back to the handle at the bottom/foot of the bag. Once they are fully seated together (at the very end of the zipper), one side of the zipper “coil” can be pulled out completely, allowing it to be zipped into and combined with another bag. (SEE PICTURES I’ve downloaded up at product title)

So I wanted to set the record straight – I was wrong before. These bags CAN be combined! I am giving this produce 5 stars. I’ve uploaded a bunch of pictures of the zipper to illustrate what I’ve described above. Hope that helps!

The front zipper handle does have a nice feature to prevent it from snagging/catching on the material. The zipper is also 2-way, allowing you to open the bottom for ventilation if desired.

I was able to use a Coleman Stratus bag a few times last year, so I knew what I was getting when I made this purchase. Makes a good indoor or travel fleece bag or throw. Can be used by itself as a warm weather sleeping bag. Also makes a good bag supplement or blanket in combination with your regular sleeping bag when camping. Accurate and useful product description. Size regular: 75 inches long, 33 inches wide when zipped, so it fits those who are less than 6 feet tall. A 50 degree F minimum temperature rating when used by itself (just don’t expect to be “toasty warm” at that temperature). When used with your primary sleeping bag, improves your bag’s temperature rating by about 12 degrees F. Can be used as a liner for similar sized rectangular sleeping bags. Large enough to fit over a mummy style bag (much easier than trying to use it as a liner); as long as you have good wind protection from a tent, camper shell, trailer, or RV, there will be little or no loss of temperature performance when doing this. The 2 pound weight is consistent with the temperature performance claims. I am skeptical of other similar sized fleece bags that make the same temperature performance claims while weighing in at only about 1 pound. One of the best zippers I have ever found on a sleeping bag.

Comes with a fairly tight stuff sack. Getting the bag back into the stuff sack after the first use took a little bit of experimentation. Zip the bag closed and lay it flat. Fold the bag width in thirds so that the folded width matches the length of the stuff sack. Fold the bag length in half. Roll from the middle to the end and secure with the elastic strap. Shove the rolled bag back into the stuff sack.

I purchased 4 of these liners to compare. We’re mostly car camping for the foreseeable future, and as I’ve gotten older I’m more sensitive to the cold, so I’m looking to add a few degrees to my 10° down bag.

They all are plenty big and retained about the same amount of heat, raising the temp inside the bag with me inside about 5° after 15 minutes, (based on our smart thermostat sensor).

The Redcamp was the beefiest by weight (1lb 9.4oz), by the zipper was so incredibly slick it moves on its own! No way it is staying zipped up all night.

The Osage River was fine, basically the same as the Coleman but slightly lighter weight (1lb 1.8oz) and about $10 more.

The Litume was the smallest and lightest weight (15.1oz), although it felt heaviest when draped on my legs. It’s made from micro fleece with a smooth outer cover. It’s really nice, and came in a high quality compression sack. But I don’t think it adds any more heat than the others, and since I don’t plan on doing any backpacking the weight and compression aren’t of value to me. I ordered the zipper less version, so can’t speak to durability of the zipper.

The Coleman is about the same as the Osage River and Redcamp models, but was the cheapest AND was 1/3 the price of the Litume. The zipper is super beefy. It weighed in much heavier than the Osage River but only slightly behind Redcamp at 1lb 9oz.

If the Litume was the same price or ithought I would use it for backpacking, I would probably go for it, but the Coleman is the clear winner for our current setup.

Wanted to protect the inside of my expensive Coleman sleeping bag. I washed it first and then I put it in the bag. Quite comfortable
