This tea kettle has a feature my previous tea kettle did not, which is a continuous readout of the temperature of the water as it is heating up. This is important for me, because I use the kettle to heat up water for mixing with a cal/mag solution, and I just need hot water. So I can just watch the readout on the kettle as it quickly heats up, and lift the kettle off of its base when it arrives at the proper temperature, which is 130 degrees.
My wife also needs hot water for her coffee, and told me how much better this machine is working out for her as well.
I was also looking for a stainless steel base to avoid aluminum, and the 304 stainless steel base offered with this product fulfilled a very important requirement.

My tea kettle of four years stopped working. I admit, I was heartbroken. I got on amazon and looked around for a bit tol I found this one. I admit it took a couple of days of deciding but no regrets here. I should of bought it the same day my kettle stopped working. Easy to pour water into kettle. I like the large lid opening. It’s not heavy, it holds a lot more water than my last kettle. I like the switch on the bottom too. Slick shiny look is what got me thinking of getting it.
I highly recommend this item.

1st impressions. Works great. Heats quickly. 1st glass kettle we’ve owned, and it is fun to watch cold water progress to a boil. The kettle has a temperature readout as it progresses toward boil or preset, and it also reads as it cools toward auto shutoff. In a two person household it gets used 4-8 times a day for pour-over coffee and various teas.
The preset selection process is NOT intuitive. It is easy if you read the instructions and press the “keep warm” button once before selecting a temp; twice if you want it to hold the temp once it is reached.
A stainless steel electric kettle that failed after several years of use was a pain to fit back on the center probe of the base. This kettle easily marries with the base. If this one lasts as long as our previous kettle, it will be money well spent.

I use this product for boiling water for tea.. i like the fact that i have control over the temperature; highest temp is 212 °f. for esthetics, it has a nice blue light when the heating coil is on inside. so far i’ve been using the glass tea kettle for a few long months every day multiple times a day. i would say it can and will withstand the test of time. no problems here with my kettle. its safe to use and its not sketchy when or if the bottom gets wet a little it doesn’t seem to be an issue when put back down on the saucer for connection to electricity. modern design and up to date. i had another electric water kettle boiler and it had no temp control so i basically settle with this one.. i always make tea at 212° and or hot chocolate and or ramen noodles. but i still like the fact that i have some control to lower the highest temp available. what ever .. this is the one i picked.. the only thing i didn’t mess around with was the keep warm feature i had no desire to use it. but like i said it has a lot of digital features packed into this electric kettle. there are options! u are not restricted to one setting. which is why i again picked this one. have a great day and enjoy your tea i hope u have a good tea cup. and also don’t’ forget to purify your water i use “PURR” faucet water filter just so i don’t’ have to bare the elements of tap water.

This is a great kettle. Quick to heat water with pre-set temperature settings. Good size and shape and the shape of the handle feels secure to hold and carry even with a kettle full of boiling water. The only thing that could be improved is how much the lid can open. Given that the lid doesn’t completely come off, it is a little awkward to fill water in the kettle. The lid only opens to about a 60 degrees, and with the strainer installed it can get tricky to get your kitchen faucet in to fill the kettle up. A minor inconvenience in an otherwise great product.

Our old stove top kettle finally gave out and we really wanted an electric one. We were worried it was too big, and it is big, so far we have only really filled it to 1 liter or the minimum half a liter. Its not too big even though it’s just for two of us to have tea a couple times a day. It’s nice we can boil more water if needed! Even though we’ve only had this a week, one morning I heard a loud sound and our cat knocked it off the counter and onto the tile floor, to my shock, amazement and total relief, it didn’t break! Not a crack, nothing.

I sometimes have trouble figuring out if it’s boiling or not (the blue light turns on when its on, but sometimes i forget and press the temp and try to set it and the light doesnt come on and I think its heating, but its not.) and the beeps to let you know it’s done are not as loud as I’d like since I leave the room, but overall, I really love it and I’m glad we didn’t go with this smaller black one my brother has that made me want an electric kettle because this one is clear so I can tell it’s clean and it’s much bigger. I’m really happy with it.
