This doesn’t come with everything you need to get it running. I went to install it and the cost was double the price of this product. They said I need extra accessories for my car. TOTALLY WORTHLESS. Tried to look for instructions nothing there

Incredible unit and kit but you need to be mechanically inclined and or electronically knowledgeable in a basic sense at least for 12v systems. All install guides were online especially with using the blade al module. U need op500 programmer to program extra features but will manage without it. Do lots of research before attempting this and follow the wiring diagram and definitely don’t forget to bring common sense

As I opened the install instructions there was a note that stated “visit firstecdata for full instruction guide”.
I could not download the guide without a dealer number. I called the 888 number and was told that a guide will not be provided unless I was a professional; I let them know that I was a professional installer for many years and this was for personal use. They said I was not on their list for certification and an installation guide would not be provided. I then asked “why are your products on Amazon for consumer sale when you will not allow install by a consumer even though they are a professional?” They responded with “we are fighting to get our products off Amazon and only for sale by dealers”. I don’t believe this because their products have been on Amazon for years.
Regardless… I recommend you stay away from this product; not because of its quality, but because of its complete lack of customer service.
Sticker on outside of Box says “Professional installation “RECOMMENDED” …. Does not say required.

The installation of this system in my 2000 Chevy Silverado was successfully completed after conducting research using Google. The12volt.com provided valuable information during the process. The remote control’s range is impressive, ensuring reliable vehicle starting. The shock sensor, set at level 2, effectively detects unauthorized attempts to access the vehicle, such as pulling on the handle or bumping into it, while remaining unaffected by light hail or heavy thunderstorms. It’s important to note that if using the Blade AL for security bypass, programming it to your vehicle requires a computer.

I bought a remote start years ago and kept putting off installing it, finally I decided to install it and the remotes had lost their pairing to the module. I followed the pairing instructions and it didn’t work, I reached out to the manufacturer and they basically said its a problem with the module and Id have to send it in to fix.
I was bummed about that so I just started researching for other brands etc, found this Compustar and really liked what it offered for the money. Its clear that Compustar doesn’t tailor towards the DIY as they only provide very minimal documentation (and honestly I don’t blame them for not wanting to deal with people doing sub par installs, then complaining that things don’t function as they should)
If you search online you can find ~50 page documentation on this module, but that wasn’t required to get it installed and functioning.
I like that there is quite a bit of flexibility in the options in terms having additional power wires and configuring how they function. It appears they also offer quite a few add-ons for additional functionality if needed.
The remotes feel quality made and seem to have great range, although I haven’t tested from very far yet.

The remote reaches pretty dang far. It’s pretty neat being able to start my car from inside a Walmart or while I’m getting ready in the mornings. Make sure the shock sensor is no higher than halfway up if you don’t want muscle cars to set it off constantly. There’s a flyer for a harness that trivializes the install inside the box and I HIGHLY recommend you get one unless you want to risk having an inoperable vehicle for a few days because you mismatched the wires like I did.
