    I paid less than $20
    (free shipping due to prime)

    PROs

    – Works pretty much like all the other ones out there. I even tested side by side.
    – For the price, just buy this one.

    CONs

    – Doesn’t come with batteries. Not a con for me personally, but I know this upsets people sometimes.
    – Does not seem to work with Amazon AAA rechargeable bats. This may be due to the fact that rechargeables are 1.25v, not 1.5v like alk. So 2.5v total vs 3v. Shame. I try to use rechargeables for everything.
    – If you’re poor of sight, the battery compartment is hard to see the right way to put them in. Made worse in that these are meant to be in serial, but both [+] and [-] have springs. To me, the spring should always go against the [-]
    – It takes about 5 seconds to sort of WAKE UP. Others don’t seem to do this. So you have to be patient.
    – I think the colour is ugly. If I could have it just black, better, but not paying an extra $5 to 20 for colour.

Not sure if PRO or CON, you decide:

    – It is designed to operate upside down. So either for a second person reading it, or you have to fold your fingers down to read it.

Almost always the negative flat side of a battery goes against the springs, and the positive side goes in the other direction. For this reason, usually you don’t need to read the hard-to-see markings of + and – on the plastic inside of the battery compartment: you just put the negative sides on the springs. I did that with this product and it wouldn’t turn on. Then I used a magnifier to read the markings, and that showed one of the positive sides should be against a spring. So I did that and it turned on, and works fine. The readings have been accurate, and it’s super easy to use. I only use it about twice a year, but I’ve had it for 2 years and it still works fine.

    Received on time.
It works perfectly fine after putting the AAA batteries in the back (you just want to make sure to place the two batteries in correct polarity). The display is bright and clear.
Overall, the unit looks pleasant and work fine. The only one thing I wish that it comes with batteries included, which is not for this unit.
Some other manufacturers do include the batteries in their unit to make it work right out of the box.

When I bought this I did know back of my mind this will be just as good as the price paid. And it is true. It does read. Needs full charged batteries. Polarity directions are really confusing. You need to literally put a lot of pressure to insert the batteries. First of all , this is so fragile and pushing the batteries a couple of times…would mean i should come to amazon again….for a better quality stuff!

Wildly inaccurate. If my Oxygen level was at the level reported by this product I’d be in the hospital being incubated or writing my will out.

The battery holder orientation is also wrong with 1 battery needing to be inserted opposite to the accepted practice.

Don’t waste your money like I did, spend a little more and buy something approved that you can trust.

It’s very functional and great for work in the medical field.

The small bag cover and strap for the pulse oximeter are great and nake easy to use on the go. Use it at work all the time and so far it has good battery life.

Definitely recommend it for healthcare work setting or personal use.

During these pandemic times I’ve gotten a few of oximeters and several read low, such as 93-95%. I then read an NIH (National Institute of Health) article in which various brands of oximeters were tested and, sure enough, many oximeters fall we’ll short of accuracy. Why have one if it’s not useful? The Contec brand came up favorably and this model was of the same type so I got it. Indeed it reads very consistently as I try it with different members of my family. If you’re going to get an oximeter, I recommend getting this one. I didn’t care much about the price but this one also comes in at a lower price than the less accurate ones.

The media could not be loaded.

I have one in my purse cause it is small. I can check my oxygen anywhere anytime. I have a lung problem so this is important.
