First impressions, this must be made for a hobit. It’s much smaller than I had thought. The griddle can fit 4 eggs, plus maybe 4 pieces of bacon, or sausage if you don’t mind things overlapping. Perfect for an omlet for 3 or 4 people. It’s no doubt a very handy gadget to own. The griddle heats up very nicely, on level 5 is was about 300, what you would want for eggs, but it can get a lot hotter. It’s not completely evenly heated however. There are hot and cooler spots that range 50 degrees more or less. (mainly the center of each circle is the hottest). Using the lid makes more heat throughout for even cooking, or just move things around every once in a while. It’s a heck of a lot better, hotter, quicker, than those cheaper griddles.
My pots and pans heated up, but here’s the CONs and what you should know.. Thin pans like stainless steal will heat up FAST and more even, while the others with heavier thick bases over inches will take a little longer with more uneven cooking. Unfortunately, I got an 11″ fry pan (expensive one), and it only gets a hot temp in the middle 6″, it’s too large for these coils. I haven’t cooked on it yet, but assume things will need to be moved around, and frying with it might be less than perfect. Going to fry chicken tomorrow and update this if I have bad results.

Works great for pots as well as the grill. Can grill up a whole pound of bacon in one shot and with the cover and the high lipped grill plate, no messy splatter. Perfect for cooking a full breakfast for 4 in one shot. Grills steaks, burger, pork chops and on and on and on.
Takes up a small space on the counter, and during holidays when you run out of burners on the stove, as we all have, it gives you 2 extra burners that is easy to work with and doesn’t get in the way. Great for simmering, steaming, boiling etc.
I procrastinated for a long time, but always wanted one. During the holidays this product came in so handy and is quite portable, so we could move it around as needed and also used it as a meat warmer on the serving table.
If you don’t have stainless steel or induction capable pots/pans, then ensure you get a 6″-6.5″ heat diffuser plate for each burner.

It cooks really well. I love that it’s a double burner bc I can cook multiple items at the same time which is a saver. Ive only used the rectangular dish that comes with it but have used it many times and it heats up quickly and is easy to clean. The only thing I wish is that the button for turning the unit on and off was easier to see or marked better. I keep this unit in a drawer so I can push it away when not in use but I’m always struggling to see where the on/off button is which is hard when the unit is hot. I have heat resistant tape that I will put above it to solve the problem. For me it would be better to have the bottoms on top of the unit not the front but for most who keep it on the countertop this would not be an issue.

My husband and I live in Tucson, but leave for five months in our travel trailer during the hot months. We prefer to cook outside as much as possible, and have been using a Coleman propane stove. I now plug the Cooktron into our outside outlet, and use it exclusively. It is faster than the propane stove, cleaner, and works in windy weather (the propane stove would not get hot enough if the wind blew). I can also bring it inside on rainy days and cook quickly and easily inside. I am so happy that a friend recommended it.

This is great counter top induction burner. We replaced a Salton 2 burner with this one and it’s been great. Heats up quickly, powerful high settings and you can use both burners at the same time pretty effectively. With our previous cooktop one burner always robbed a significant amount of power from the other side making using both sides tricky.
However, the griddle plate is my favorite part of this. I love it and it has convinced me that I shall need a flattop griddle for all time. I cook whatever I can on the griddle: pancakes, bacon, eggs, grilled cheese, burgers, whatever are all easier to cook on this thing. You can do a whole breakfast for a small family on it.

After researching and ordering an Induction Cooktop, minutes later I saw the “COOKTRON Portable Induction Cooktop 2 Burner with Removable Iron Cast Griddle Pan Non-stick, 1800W Double Induction Cooktop” and thought that would be cool to have and offer more flexibility. Some reviewers spoke of “set controls” of temperatures. I loved the idea of the grill and ordered both. The Nuwave arrived first, which I liked. The Cooktron arrived a few days later…unfortunately, busted to bits (not the grill). The packaging would have survived with a little more insulation.
Replace it or not? I really wanted to try it and decided to give it another try based on the positive reviews I had read. The replacement arrived faster than the original order and intact. It was very simple to operate. I liked everything about it except not being able to have more temperature controls, also, the spacing between pots on the stovetop are a little close, neither a deal breaker.
The grill: Cooking bacon or other meats (in a pan makes for a harder to clean up, but on the grill it) is easy, no oil needed and cleaning up the surface using “a couple of paper towels” as another reviewer said was perfect. (see video)
When you use the grill, there is a setting which operates both sides of the grill simultaneously with the same temperature. It comes in handy for grilling multiple items and has enough room on the grill to fry 6 nice sized slices of thick bacon easily. We’ve used it to stir fry vegetables on one side as the meat is cooking and it’s so easy. Nothing sticks to it, Sunny side up eggs, scrambled eggs, veggies, etc..
The unit is not as heavy as I expected, so it’s easy to handle. Its compact size is ideal. It is lightweight and doesn’t feel bulky to move about, which makes for a perfect portable device if one needs to take to a party for additional cooking.
The handles of the grill get hot! Have gloves nearby if you think you need to touch the handles.

Finde das Teil super ,wird schnell heiß und die längliche Grillplatte ist echt gut .Für eine sehr große Pfanne zum draufsetzen ist das Teil zu klein ,aber dafür ist ja die Grillplatte da zum abnehmen und sogar mit passenden Deckel optimal super Teil..
