Cuando era una niรฑa tuvimos una vajilla Corelle. Andรกbamos de compras con mi madre y hermanas y de repente nos topamos con un vendedor de Corelle. Recuerdo que el vendedor nos hablรณ de su durabilidad y tomando un plato lo azotรณ repetidas veces contra una columna de la tienda haciendo reverendo estruendo. La gente al rededor se quedรณ observando boquiabierta, mis hermanas y yo nos llevamos las manos a la boca completamente convencidas de que el plato estallarรญa hecho aรฑicos por doquier, sin embargo, el plato no se rompiรณ, ni siquiera se rayรณ. El vendedor entonces tomรณ una taza y la azotรณ de la misma manera que lo habรญa hecho con el plato, reiterando la promesa de durabilidad de la vajilla. Reconozco un tanto avergonzada que tomรฉ un plato de sopa y lo azotรฉ contra la encimera, y como era de esperar, el plato sobreviviรณ los golpes. No lo volverรฉ a hacer y no les recomiendo que lo hagan, no me responsabilizo de sus platos rotos, pero sรญ recomiendo la marca ampliamente y me siento verdaderamente satisfecha de mi compra.

I’m enjoying these dishes. I’ve used Stoneware for years but they are heavy and carrying a stack to put them away is too much for me to want to deal with. These are attractive and enjoy eating off of them. I’ve ordered another set so I have plenty. They wash nicely in the dishwasher.

I had stoneware prior and there’s no comparison. I now have so much space in my cabinet. The unique style dresses up my table.

When I received the Amazon-labeled box, I lifted it off the ground and heard the sound of glass clinking, like the sound of a bag of broken glass. Inside, the Corelle box was upside down with no bubble wrap or any padding. I partially opened the box and shards or glass came flying out ๐ It could’ve hit/hurt me.
When I asked Amazon for replacement, I highlighted the problem to two different Amazon help center employees, and asked them to mark the replacement box as FRAGILE and to pad the box. The replacement box arrived today, still packed upside down inside an Amazon box with no padding or fragile label. Fortunately the plates inside survived shipping this time.
Moral of the story: don’t buy breakable products from Amazon.
The Corelle plates are actually really beautiful and adds color to my other (plain) Corelle collection. Highly recommended

They are sturdy. lightweight. and absolutely astounding. I traveled to Florida with friends who have 5 kids under the age of 7 (at that time) The oldest was goofing off at supper and dropped one of our hosts plate. On the tile floor. I thought he was going to crawl into the tile grout. ( I think he did too) but much to his relief, it didn’t break. or chip, or crack. And he stopped goofing around. I had his mom pick out the design, and that was their housewarming. I’ve been over to their home twice, they use it regularly and even the 4 year old is handling plates well. My only complaint is the patterns.. She loves theem, I long for black and white checks on the rims.. or at least bolder colors and better designs. But these are well worth the investment if you have kids you’re trying to train and you want sturdy and pretty.

This set is replacing my pre-2005 Corelle set (apparently most dishware of any type made before 2005 contains lead and possibly other contaminants). I LOVE the color and freshness of the frosty white and indigo pattern. I LOVE that it’s made in the USA. I LOVE how lightweight it is. I WISH the dinner plates were just a bit bigger, but not a deal-breaker at all. I WISH that it came in a set of 8, but 6 will do.
The old Corelle set that I had for 20+ years never scratched or chipped or faded. One dessert plate shattered when it slipped onto the floor. Since I just received my new Vitrelle set yesterday I will have to wait and see how it holds up as to those things. At some point I’ll update this review if there’s anything negative to say.

I drpped them against each other in the dishwasher but, remarkably they never even chipped! Well worth the money. I even purchased a third box for my brothers wedding.
