I’m an avid user of my PC, it is almost always on and used in a gaming setup. I’ve had some shorting scares in the past where no power would go through due to a bad surge protector, but after making sure all electric charge has left the PC this thing always bounces back.
Tl;Dr this thing works great and in the worst case can handle direct power surges without notable damage, multiple times.

Haven’t heard a bit of noise from this thing. The fan is never on unless my computer is under a full load. It’s a quality PSU. Haven’t had a single problem with it. The PSU cables are a little stiff, and the PCIe cables for the GPU could be difficult to maneuver based on how many you need.

I just did a new ATX PC build a couple months ago and went with this PSU. So far I’m very happy with it. Unlike one other reviewer, mine came fully and professionally packaged. Keep in mind this review is for a PSU that is way over what I need for power in my case – perhaps some of the negative reviewers where it died in a few days needed a higher wattage one.

I guess I got unlucky.
When I was installing my original PSU, I noticed through the fan grate there was some grey material inside the unit. I guessed it was some sort of thermal paste or something, maybe even protective gel to prevent electrical arcing. The unit was completely factory sealed, never opened – and yet it had this grey, seemingly solidified goop in the bottom. It was a little weird, but I didn’t think much of it at the time.
I’ll get back to this goop later on in my story.
Corsair’s PSUs are rather reputable, and this one features a 10 year warranty. Unfortunately for me, my own power supply died about 2 weeks after installing it in my system. I heard a loud electric crack from my computer, and the entire system immediately shut off. Hitting the power button didn’t do anything.
“Oh [censored]” is what exited my mouth, having a PSU die on you is VERY bad. Either only the PSU bit the bullet, or the PSU killed not only itself, but everything that was attached to it. Everything in your computer is connected to the power supply one way or another. Hundreds or thousands of dollars of damage could be on the line.
Fortunately, only my PSU bit the bullet – it didn’t kill my entire system. After detaching it from my computer and plugging it into a wall, I hooked it up to my old PC and hit power. The PSU temporarily gave it enough power, but then made a clicking sound – I’m guessing some safety breaker in it was triggered, and the thing shut off.
RMAing the PSU was reasonably easy, however from my experience the only way I could get Corsair to advance my RMA process was by calling their support center. I had to contact them twice on the phone before my RMA request was approved and I was able to ship the PSU to them – on my own dime, mind you. They don’t cover the cost of shipping back to them.
I’m aware these large companies have lots of calls and tickets to deal with, but given that my RMA was only pushed along after phoning them twice, and taking nearly an hour in hold time/call time is unacceptable. Perhaps I had my problem during a bad week for Corsair, but the experience was still quite frustrating, especially when a brand new product goes bad.
Fortunately, they shipped a new one to me the day they received my dead PSU – with 1 day expedited shipping! My new PSU was at my door the very next day after the broken one had arrived. So… I guess that makes up for the $17 I spent to ship the dead one back to them.
Upon receiving my new PSU, I again inspected the interior of the unit. To my surprise – no grey goop. I couldn’t spot a drop with my eyes and a flashlight. In my previous unit, the one that died, grey goop was painfully obvious, and immediately spotted through the grate. This unit? Not a drop.
COMMONSENSE –
This power supply is nice and quiet fit my case well and works like it should. It’s nice to add only the cables you actually need and makes things tidy for better airflow.

I bought this PSU for my new build, needing a bit more ummph for the upgrades I did in CPU, RAM and GPU (if you don’t know what those acronyms stand for, you probably shouldn’t be reading this review). What I wanted was near silence and capable load handling when all the dependent resources were working at their max. This power supply is quiet and has not even hiccuped in the most demanding games I’ve played. Easy to install, even in an existing build. I would definitely buy this PSU again. One note to beginning builders: get a modular (or at least semi-modular) unit; then you are only using cabling you need and can add more as you add components to your system. Corsair is a brand I trust and buy without worry.

A great PSU unit. Mine currently powers a 12700kf and RTX 3070. You will find people who say get the RMx as it has better internal components and it is only a little more expensive. Both the RM and RMx are made with quality components, otherwise why would Corsair give them the same 10 year warranties. Great PSU. Thats all I can say

Not many power supplies come in white. When paired up with Corsair’s Crystal 280X mATX chassis, it’s beautiful. It’s very quiet and, of course, fully modular.
This is perfect if you’re building with white or contrasting colors in mind. For my build, black and white works for me.
The “RM750x” that reads on the back of the PSU will read upside-down when installed with their very own Crystal 280X case. Not to mention, the cables are a tad longer than necessary for a mATX build. The length is to compensate for use in bigger builds (that I understand), but there should be an option for shorter wiring (without having to buy from another brand), fewer plugs for systems tight in space and no need for SLI or CrossFire use.

It works out of the box. Went with white for the first time and cables have a nice braided sheathing and are a nice contrast to a black motherboard. As usual Corsair quality. I heard the 2020 versions of this power supply may have shorter cables or other cost cutting things done-I cannot verify this, but I intentionally bought the 2018 model of this PSU.
Here’s the important part you NEED to know. When you search and find “RM 750x”, look CAREFULLY to see who it’s sold from. Both “Sold” and “Ships” from should be Amazon. None of the other sellers who list this product are authorized resellers of this product and Corsair WILL NOT honor their warranty if you try to save $10 and buy this from anyone here other than Amazon. I was looking for this product and all of a sudden it went $10 cheaper and I thought “cool, it’s even cheaper now”. As I added to my cart, I noticed it went to one of their vendors to get this cheaper price. I deleted it, and chose the one $10 more that is sold and ships from Amazon. As soon as you get this PSU, register it with Corsair to avoid the potential receipt issue down the road. Don’t say I didn’t warn you….
I will continue to support Corsair as they make fantastic products and are one of the few companies that stand behind their product (if you follow their rules and purchase from authorized resellers). I had an HX 600 go bad after 9 1/2 years, called Corsair to start the RMA, and about a week later they sent me an HX750. Amazing service. It would have been nice to see the PSU keep on going, but heck I’ll take 9.5 years and a newer higher powered replacement. Amazing service. Just an FYI, this is the only failure I’ve had of a Corsair PSU in about 15 builds I’ve done over the last 15 years…
