Decent but Not Perfect for a XL Twin
I bought the Cottingon Dorm Room Bed Skirt for my daughter’s college dorm, hoping it would be the perfect cover to hide storage under her twin XL bed. While there are some things I appreciate about this product, there are a few drawbacks that future buyers should be aware of.
First, the good: the fabric is solid and not see-through, which was a must for us. It also has convenient side-slits for the bed legs, so it fits well around the frame without bunching up. The quality of the material seems durable enough to last through the school year, which is a plus.
Now, for the not-so-great parts: unfortunately, this bed skirt wasn’t quite long enough for the twin XL bed (to cover the front and foot, the left side is about 18″ short on the wall side). It attaches with string ties on three sides and an elastic strap at the headboard side (no fabric on the headboard side – skirt on 3 sides only), but because of the short length, I had to get creative (think “MacGyver”) to make it work. We ended up using double-sided tape to stick the top of the bed skirt to the bed frame, which wasn’t ideal. Also, because it’s held up with ties spaced about every 18 inches, it tends to droop in between, giving it a less-than-crisp appearance… but, again, double sided tape to the rescue. But I suspect the tape won’t hold up.
Overall, this bed skirt did the job, but it took some extra effort to get it right. If you’re okay with a bit of DIY, it can work, but I wish it had been designed to fit a twin XL bed more seamlessly. Three stars because it’s decent, but not perfect.

Bought this for my daughter’s 1/2 lofted college dorm bed but could not use because of safety bar on side of bed. But it does seem to be a nice quality weight & sewn nicely. Have not washed it so unsure how it stands up to that.

I wasn’t sure how this was going to fit or how easy it was going to be to put on, but surprisingly it was super simple. I got the length wrong, so had to order a new one, but definitely would recommend. Just velcroes on and covers all the college clutter under a dorm bed.

You have to pick between tie and elastic bedskirt and no one tells you which is best. I read so many reviews about bedskirts falling down or people’s bedskirts only being one panel instead of all sides that show. And it’s hard to know what you’re actually getting elsewhere.
I’m so happy I bought this one! It’s elastic but had ties too. It was SUPER easy to add to the dorm bed. It has three sides (2 long and the foot/end section) and at the head of the bed, it’s elastic that wraps around to connect to the front with a Velcro strap. It’s very secure and looks great. I also added a few Velcro command strips to the sides and they attached the skirt to the bed frame snugly. I’m really happy with the quality of the bedskirt too. Also re length: this is a 32 inch bedskirt on a 33 inch area.

This bedskirt would have been great on a twin bed frame but unfortunately did not fit on a Twin XL. We struggled trying to make it work and in the end couldn’t not use it. Missed the return window so the best I can do is to let others know.
