Let me say that after a recent trip to the car detailer, my sunshade was not returned, so I opted to purchase this one. Benefits include a fold flat design and large enough cut-out for the rearview mirror that I don’t have to bend any of the sunshade to make it fit. It just fits like it was designed to fit on my windshield. The quality seems good with felt around the edges and the main body material is cardboard. Did scare be a little bit about long-term usage, but given it’s sole function to block the sun, I imagine it will be fine. I really like the construction and option to reverse the shade in cold climate to “heat” the car and keep in heat. I live in southern california so keeping out the heat is my only concern. That said, I like this product and I’m very happy with my purchase. I believe that for $80, this would not be good value, but for around $40, it’s great for an exact-fit sunshade. Hope you find your experience as favorable as I did!

I live in Florida and my 4runner sits in the sun all day. This was something I had considered for a long time, seeing people talk about it on forums. I never took the plunge because of the price – but one day after a smoldering day I did and could not have been more happy with the purchase. Just wish I had bought sooner! Fits like a glove and feels like a durable product. Extremely noticable change in temperature and I feel like it will help with sun bleaching of dash and seats! Great sun shade, even for the price!

I love how sturdy this windshield sun screen is! It does a great job of blocking out the heat too since it’s so thick. it fits the windshield perfectly, but because of this, you have to move the rear view mirror around every time. Being OCD and hating when my mirrors are moved, I’ve learned to put it in about ¾ of the way to avoid knocking my mirror every time. Even though it’s not totally flush to the windshield doing this, it’s still effective and super easy to put up and remove. (the 4th picture shows the small gap between the screen and windshield when you don’t mess with the rear view mirror to put it in). Worth the money!

We had one of these before for many years before it finally starting breaking a bit. So we got a new one. It fits the windshield really well and is a good barrier to keep out the sun’s heat.

This fit my 2004 4Runner perfectly and protected the dash from UV rays and premature deterioration. It kept the car cool and I believe it served as a theft deterrent, blocking light and thus keeping items in the front from being easily viewed. When I sold the 4Runner, I bought a 2017 Lexus GX460 and the sunshade fits perfectly as well. It’s pricey but has lasted longer than the foil or cardboard ones.
Edit: included a photo of the visor, which shows the top half of the plastic pouch discolored from UV exposure. The plastic is still flexible but it illustrates the rays that still pass through the windshield and fade interior surfaces. The photo also shows a 1-inch gap on either side – so it’s not perfect but I think it’s acceptable.

This was actually a lot sturdier/better quality than I was expecting, and I love the color. Not to mention, it works great on my 2003 4Runner — goes in place easily, and definitely keeps the car way cooler to get into after sitting out in the sun. Very happy with my purchase; maybe more expensive than others you can purchase, but definitely worth it to me.

This pricey sun shade is shaped well and is sturdy. It’s a close fit in my 4runner to get it installed so I can understand that it can’t really be made any larger, but the overall coverage once in place is lacking. It blocks a lot of direct sun, but lets a lot in around the edges. Once in place, it also rests on my sun visors at the top and there is a lot of space between the glass and the shade, creating an oven effect. I had better coverage, reflection and insulation from the cheap $15 bubble-foil folder that I got from Auto Zone. My buddy’s Ford Focus has a better fit with his, so maybe it’s just the 4runner.

I either have spatial judgement problems, or this product is not as advertised. It simply does not fit around the rear view mirror in my 2014 Toyota 4Runner, and is therefore worthless to me. Construction seems solid, but they need to correct their specs for vehicle compatibility. Do yourself a favor and buy one that actually fits.
