good book, some concepts are hard for a grade 3 student. but it keeps them busy.

This book has no real Critical Thinking activities. There are no logic puzzles, no analogies, no visual spatial perception problems, and nothing difficult or challenging at all. The entire book is nothing but busy work. Even average children will find these exercises a no-brainer. There was ONE problem in the entire book that my daughter had trouble with, but that problem required 3 digit multiplication, so it shouldn’t have been in the book at all.
If your child is stuck in a public school classroom waiting for 20 other students to finish their work, then they might find this “fun.” (As in, more fun than doing nothing.) Otherwise, I’m sure your child can make better use of his or her time. It’s not even worthy for a book to do on long car rides. I gave it away.

Great book for all ages! This is my 2nd book from this series that I have purchased! I love all the interaction the students are able to have in STEAM. The lesson make them collaborate and allows them to work as a team. I love it! Hope to get the other 2 books over the summer!

Yes. It makes “thinking” fun. Kids won’t realise they are learning or using life skills they already have when they use this series of books. We use at as part of our homeschool education as helps develop rationalisation and understanding of every day thinking skills and how to apply them from a third grade perspective. We’ve used this series of books for 2 years and my child looks forward to this subject. A child in public or even private could benefit with a parent sitting down and doing this book as an activity together to help kids express themselves better and have the right tools and vocabulary. There are no right or wrong answers it’s about the child’s experience and thoughts in this book.
