THIS GUN IS CHEAPLY MADE AND IS HARD TO ADJUST THE ACCURACY.

Putting a scope on one of these things is almost silly, and the scope it comes with is SUPER cheap. It’s actually just an add-on product you could buy separately – it’s not even mounted to the rifle when you get it, it’s still in its original packaging. And ours had a cracked locking ring on the rear optic, although it doesn’t seem to affect its use. But for the price, this is a pretty fun setup.

I didn’t include this in my star-rating, but in the tiny chance the mfr actually reads these, it would be nice to see a product with two air settings or an installable restrictor. You used to be able to “detune” these but it doesn’t seem that way anymore. Stepping down from hunting-rifle-category to something to get your kids into shooting, an air rifle is an obvious choice. Air rifles are super lightweight, cheap to shoot, still very accurate, and a great way to learn. But you’re stuck in this quandary between “airsoft vs. air rifle” that used to be filled by BB guns – something “strong enough to be worth bothering with, but non-lethal”.

This air rifle is definitely too powerful to let kids mess around on their own – you can easily take chipmunks and squirrels with it. That’s good from the perspective of being useful if that’s what you want, but for the younger kids I wish I could reduce its power easily (and then let them step up when they grow up and show responsibility).

Husband likes it. The only problem he ran into was the scope rings didn’t fit correctly, but he happened to have some extra ones here and fixed the problem. Really enjoys shooing the gun.

I wanted something to deal with starlings and squirrels who steal from the mouths of bluebirds and cardinals. First try, the squirrel dropped in place, right where I aimed. Don’t bother with the scope. For what it is, the irons are enough.

works well – fairly actuate. At fifty feet, it shoots about a 3″ pattern. Close enough!

Do not buy this junk, it jams every 2-3 shots.
Its extremely frustrating, even my friend who is a police officer told me that there is something wrong with it. Not to mention the scope comes separately and it doesn’t fit correctly.

    I purchased it with:Crosman 12 Gram CO2
Crosman Pellgunoil Air Gun Lubricating Oil
Crosman Destroyer Pellets, .177 caliber, 4.5mm,

And amazon doesn’t allow you to return it. So i am stuck with this piece of garbage.

The 1077 is a good gun but the scope could not be sighted in.
I tried a scope from another weapon and it sighted in quickly.
Pyramid Air refused to replace the scope because it was part of a combination and referred me to Crossman.
Now Crossman wants me to send the scope to them at my cost for repair.

My recommendation is to purchase the gun without the scope and then get the scope separately.
Just make sure the scope has the dovetail mount.
And don’t expect Pyramid Air to do anything for you if there is a problem.
