I gave away my big clunker grill after my husband died, but I wanted something to grill on when my son comes over. This is perfect. I have an outside deck that I roll into when I’m cooking and when I’m finished I just roll it back in the covered deck . Super easy to clean all parts fit in my sink. It does collapse if you want to move it somewhere to your car. I would’ve liked it to be able to collapse and stand up straight next to the wall, but I just keep it up all the time since it’s so compact. I have recommended it to everybody. The grill is large enough for four or five people if you want/. Just what I was looking for!l love the idea that I can use a small gas canister or switch to my large tank if I need to (which I don’t ever think I will)!

It arrived quickly, was easy to assemble. This is the second bar-b-que we have purchased. We now have one at the trailer, our summer home, and one at home that we use year round.

The grill is amazing! It heats up fast and gives a great sear on a steak. It gets so hot that even high smoke point oils still smoke quite a bit. I’ve actually had people stop to make sure nothing was on fire before during my steak sears. It’s great as all the flavor and juices get locked inside and leaves beautiful grill marks. The only complaint is the cast iron grate is tough to clean. I guess if you put several hours into properly seasoning it you’d be good but I didn’t put that much time into it so it gets tough to scrape all the food off.
Edit: After using this thing for about 6 months it broke on me. I was changing out the propane tank and the valve that transfers the gas from the tank to the burner snapped in two. There was no heavy force applied at all it just seems like a weak point in design and got brittle after heavy use. I’ll be contacting Cuisinart customer care tomorrow to see if they can send me a replacement part or something.
Edit2: Customer service was VERY helpful and stated they’d send me a new regulator at no cost. I emailed them the attached picture and my address with a copy of my Amazon invoice. So hopefully I’ll be grilling again soon!

It is exactly as described. It does a fantastic job of grilling. In fact, I think it does a better job than our full-size grill. I know some reviews said it was difficult to put together. I can’t really speak to that because my son put it together and he did not think it was very difficult at all but it is heavier than I expected . Bottom line I’m really glad I purchased it.

I was lucky enough to find this affordable price because Amazon had this in their clearance discount section because of it tiny little scratch on one of the legs. I find that the portable barbeques a decent quality are so expensive and I have been looking at this model for a while. Well lightning struck for me and I was lucky enough to be able to afford to purchase. I’ve been using the barbeque now for weeks and it is quite sturdy. I like the grate as it’s cast iron. You have to take care with the casing though because it’s a bit on the thin side and could be easily dented so I put a cover on it all the time. But it’s very handy and very portable

This grill was good – we had one before and it worked all year round very well even in Canadian winters so we thought l’ogival to replace it with a new one. The box arrived and imagine our surprise half way through assembly when we realised the main leg assembly was faulty . The factory had put the spring on back to front making it impossible to rectify . Thinking it would be quickest to call Cuisinart to send out the replacement part led to a whole day on the worst customer service experience ever . The number listed in the manual nobody answers and nobody phones back when your leave a message . Tried 4 other numbers then tracked down the Canadian number . Referee me back to the first number so an infinite loop of zero service . Do decided to ask Amazon for a replacement . Imagine our further surprise when this also had exactly the same faulty part . It must be a whole batch that has been put together wrong by the factory ! So got Amazon go refund and ups pick up both huge boxes . Overall a very frustrating experience and will go into a physical store to purchase a new bbq grill .

This is my second purchase of this model in 5 years – old one finally rusted out from PAC NW weather
I have owned a lot of different grills by different makers but this one is the best for me because:

The heat appears to be even across the grill. I didn’t find any hot spots.

After reading all the great reviews I ordered the CGC-240 and was very excited about getting this grill.
Assembly seemed fairly simple : I followed the first steps easily until I had difficulties attaching the grill on the stand:
After reviewing the installation guide several time, I realized the pre-assembled legs I received for the grill were assembled backwards. The legs are connected by screws which aren’t designed to be easily removed and are painted on.
I decided to call Cuisinart Customer Care hoping I could get this worked out quickly as I couldn’t use the grill without attaching it to the stand (it wouldn’t sit on a table as it has attachment pieces on the bottom).
Cuisinart Customer Care for grills is outsourced to a company called the Fulham group.
When I called Cuisinart I was transferred to the Fulham Group and welcomed by a machine prompting me to leave a message with my contact info and the reason of my call.
The recorder message promised a quick follow up and also suggested to send an email for a quicker response. I did sent an email too.
After 3-4 days of wait I had not received any follow-up calls or emails from their customer care. I then decided to call Amazon and the service I received was good : I was offered to return the grill at no-cost and received a full refund shortly after.
It’s been more than a month since I contacted Cuisinart Customer Care (Fulham group) and I have never been contacted back so I’m very happy I returned the defective grill.
I own several Cuisinart small appliances (panini machine, slow-cooker) which work great but in the future I’ll be thinking twice before buying another product from them as I was very disappointed with this purchase.
I bought the Weber Q2200 instead and I’m really happy about it, it costs more but it’s definitely worth the price difference.
