I have never known Ms Roberts to end one of her books in a trilogy with a cliffhanger. I was ready to scream.
I looked to see when the next book is coming and it won’t be out until November. Amazon also said this is a two-book series, not three. But still….

All that being said, I really enjoyed the story; there are ghosts, a bad witch, and the need to find some missing wedding rings. I can’t wait for November.

This book is the second in the series and I strongly recommend reading “The Inheritance” first.

In this book, Sonya and her friend continue to learn more about the mansion and its other-worldly inhabitants. They are digging into the history of the family that has lived there for generations, although seven young brides have died there. Sonya is comfortable with the friendly occupants and is also getting more confidence in confronting the witch that haunts the mansion. She’s also gained confidence in using the mirror when it calls to her. It’s a portal into the past.

The women are building lives in Maine and are creating and expanding their careers there.

Great Nora Roberts read. This book does not conclude the story. The third book in the trilogy is still to come.

There is some language that may be objectionable to some readers, but if you’ve read other books by this author, it is at the same level as previous books.

I have both the e-book and the audio book. The narrator is excellent. She does voices and accents very well.

Love Nora Roberts, sheโ€™s a talented artist.
Love the twists and turns, the character development and enjoy that it spans over time. The blossoming romances, the description of surroundings. When it comes to a romance author that can keep you up reading far too late, you canโ€™t beat Nora! Highly recommend this and almost any book sheโ€™s penned!

I donโ€™t understand people complaining about waiting for a book. Do you know how long the writing, editing and proofing process is? Donโ€™t want to wait? Find an old trilogy or single stories. To the person asking if thereโ€™ll be a third book-yes itโ€™s a trilogy so there will be 3 books in the series.
You think waiting for a book is tough. Be the kid in the 90โ€™s/early 2000โ€™s waiting for each of the 7 Jarey potter books. My daughter stated reading in 2nd grade and the final book came out when she was halfway through high school! Talk about dedication. I start gratification isnโ€™t all that, the suspense of waiting can be great!

Get your notepad out if you want to keep the multitude of characters straight. Their family tree spans centuries. This book is pure entertainment. I love the premise of the story, the current day characters and especially the Gothic mansion which is home to several paranormal personalities. Utterly charming, at times suspenseful, and full of strong friendships and a hint of light romance. I read 100+ books/ year and this is my 1st book review EVER. Can’t wait for book #2!

It’s a great story but do not like a book I have to buy instead in the library. An wait forever for the second. Not fair. I dud buy it because now I’m hooked. But not happy with Nora Robrerts doing this. I have always love her works but this not makes me happy.

The first book is very very good, but you almost have to wait a year for the second book and another year for the third book so you have to Relisten to the first book and then listen then listen to the second book and then the third book comes out. Youโ€™re gonna have to listen to all three of them again And itโ€™s really annoying when the second book comes out. Iโ€™ll just wait till the third book comes out and then listen to them all again, but I loved the first book. Itโ€™s very good. I own every Nora Roberts book Written and I own All of the JD Robb series
