This bike rack is really well made and works great. This version doesn’t swivel, so keep that in mind. It’s quite sturdy and so simple to use.

Wow this is so much better than lifting my bike up to hang it on the wall. Especially when my bike is fully loaded (rack, trunk bag etc). It was easy to install and the included instructions are very well done. Once everything’s installed it’s smooth sailing.
I will say that in place of a stud finder you can use a strong magnet. Slide the magnet around on the wall and you’ll find drywall screws that go into studs. Also, things like outlets are always to the side of a stud. I’m sure there’s video’s on it! A drill is a must as it’s very hard to screw these sized screws into a stud.

This rack will work great for your kids mountain bike. Kids are can be rough on your home, whether slamming doors or throwing their bike up against you garage wall. This rack is pretty solid and will withstand them pushing their bikes into it. Choosing the right height is important, but you have wiggle room for folks who don’t always measure well, like me.
The way you pop the front tire up and roll it on is genius. Even our younger kids are able to get their mountain bike on it. We just installed them today, so its not like they had much practice. Its just that easy.
Key thing is save yourself some hassle and use a stud finder. That’s what took me the most time during install, as I could not find mine. So I got a couple guess holes to fill.
If you are in the market for a bike rack, whether for an adult or kid, highly suggest you give this a try.

This is a wonderful bike rack – you just wheel your bike onto it. No heavy or awkward lifting. As long as you attach it to studs, it will be extremely sturdy. Make sure you check your bike’s measurements to see if it will work with this rack. One of my bikes fits, the other doesn’t. The height of your bike will be about the amount in will stand off from the wall. Plan your space accordingly.

I ride recumbent bikes which are always much heavier. My commuter weighs almost 50lbs and I have tried different mounts but most required me to lift the bike up onto the hook and maneuver the wheel in order to get the hook through the spokes. I ordered the Cycling Deal Bike Wall Mount after I saw I could just roll my bike onto the rack.
The unit is HEAVY! I didn’t expect the weight when it was delivered but it is seriously heavy duty. My previous mounts have all been simple hooks so I was pleasantly surprised. You MUST mount this to a stud in order to keep the bikes weight from pulling it out of the wall. You will also need to measure carefully so that it isn’t too high or low for your bike. Either one will mean that the bike doesn’t seat correctly. Once mounted it was so simple to use. Simply lift your front tire and roll the bike forward, that’s it!
I really like the CyclingDeal bike mount. It is VERY heavy duty and incredibly easy to use. Best of all, I don’t have to lift a 50lb bike up in the air and maneuver it to get it onto a hook! This version doesn’t swivel but I ordered the swivel version to get the bike closer to the wall. I plan on ordering a second one of these so that I can mount my recumbent trike vertically too. This is a fantastic rack and, in my opinion, totally worth every penny of the $50 price tag.

So if you have a garage like mine with a slight bump out on the lower part, bump up the height on the mount.
After that, this thing is great. Feels solid, easy to roll on and off and then store away when not in use (though for my set-up will probably not ever put up).
My only complaint is the hardware. Wish it came with some washers or came with more of a lag bolt with a torx bit top.
Still, I would recommend!
Brutal Engineering –
This should last forever. It’s very strong. The finish is heavy and seems very wear resistant. It comes with complete instructions. It will be tricky to use with a touring type bicycle with more wrap around fenders which could interfere with moving the bike into the rack when it’s nearly vertical. The rack is very heavy duty and it must be attached to the frame or concrete in the wall. Folds and locks into the folded position. Great rack.
Brutal Engineering –
We were surprised how heavy this is. We have gotten tons of various bike racks and they have all been flimsy and bent under the weight of an e-bike. Not this one. It weighs 7 lbs! We also got the version of this that pivots side to side. We recommend that over this for the added space saving potential.
We wondered how true to the 2.4″ max tire width this would be. The limiting factor is the cage near the pivot. It would allow for a 2.5″ tire. We tested with a 2.8″ Maxxis Minion and if the knobbies lined up right it could squeeze in, but it didn’t fit well enough to let go of the bike. The cage would pop the tire back out. We’ll probably throw the cage in a spreader to open it up a bit.
We are using this in conjunction with a one-up ratchet arm to quickly clamp our bikes in our sprinter van. Fold this down, lift the one-up up, roll in, pull the one-up down. Done.
It’s easy to roll the front tire in provided your tire is less than 2.5″
The arm will lock in the upright position.
If you want something that will last we recommend this. Just make sure you mount to a stud or other structural component.
