My husband and I were greatly impressed with the range and unfailing, stable signal quality of this WiFi 6 router. It provides reliable, fast coverage across both floors of our home, as we use WiFi with TV streaming, PC gaming, etc. The router was extremely easy to set up, and it is simple to track its performance through the Aquila Pro AI app. In addition, the look of the router is so nice we have it displayed in our home as a decor piece. We are very pleased with our new D-Link Aquila WiFi 6.

The good:
– It allows you 3 different ways to configure the router.
– Ethernet mesh back haul. I did not test because only one device.
The alright:
– App features. You can find something you have to dig around.
The places that could be improved:
– The ability to configure the router easier from the app. I had the disconnect and reconnect 3 times before the app could find it so I could configure it. Easier through the webUi, I tested it after resetting the router to factory defaults. If you do get this then do the configuration through the web not the app.
– Tapping on Advanced takes you to the webUI. Now on a phone a lot of pinching and zooming to get any information or configuration.
– Better labeling. What I mean by this, is the box says one router can cover 2800 sqft. My house is 2796. In a lot of areas no coverage. When I swapped it for my old one, the dead spots got low-good signal (-68 to -63 dBm)
– Speed not always there. I sat on my deck with the door open about 8 ft. I did a few speed tests (3 sites). I got an avg of 5 Mbps down and 4.35 Mbps up. I swapped back to my old wireless router. I retested from the same place. I was getting 427 Mbps down and 501 Mbps up. I will keep my old wireless router in place and try this one now and then to see if a software/firmware has been improved.

The item arrived promptly and included three components along with an instruction pamphlet. Setting it up was straightforward; I used the QR code with my phone to download the app, which worked seamlessly. The app effectively indicated whether the device was connected or disconnected.
Even in our small home, we noticed a minor improvement in Wi-Fi speeds, and the signal is now much stronger with no interruptions. We also appreciate the improved security features, especially with today’s increasing cyber threats.
This device will allow us to future-proof our home with its ability to support all our devices simultaneously. We used ours to set up our home media server. The design is innovative and elegant, making it a beautiful display piece. My only wish is that the power cord was longer.
Overall, we are pleased with the product. Its modern design fits well in any home and is smaller and lighter than expected.

The interface is simple and the guided process of setting up the router had me up and ready in less than 15 minutes. I have this setup to extend my ISP router’s connection and now it’s able to give me great connection and fast speeds in a farther away area of the home where the ISP router is. The speeds themselves are faster than the PCIE Wifi 6 card I have installed on a few of my devices where I’m seeing more than double the speeds with the new router. The router doesn’t get warm as there’s a vent on top and a large openings on the bottom; make sure to keep the device on a flat surface because if the bottom vents of the device get blocked by anything that it’s sitting on: it will get hot.
Pros:
-Fast internet speeds, even better than my other devices with a wifi 6 card trying to connect to the ISP router from the same distance as the M30.
-Stable connection without any drops in the connection in the time I’ve had it.
-Stylish and cool design in a compact form.
-WPA3 support (note, not all client devices support WPA3 and won’ be able to connect, but there is an option for WPA2 that’ll work just fine.)
-App support which will also notify anytime when the router goes offline, or there’s issues with the connection.
-Simple GUI in both the app and router settings.
-160Mhz bandwidth support
Issues:
-An issue I had was when I was switching from router mode to extended mode. After switching the setting, I was unable to connect to the device from both the Wifi IP page and the app. I had to do a factory reset.
-There’s an IP page that allows users to login to manage the settings of the router. There’s an issue where if you don’t enter the password correctly the first time, or first few times, there’s a chance that it won’t let you login for a short amount of time even if you eventually entered the correct password. So if I enter the password correctly on the second attempt, there’s a chance an error would pop up saying “Incorrect Password”. There seems to be a short time delay between password attempts before it allows you in.
Overall, still a great router that can fill dead spots of wifi around the home. The features and setup are simple with some bonuses like the 160Mhz bandwidth support. I really do like the cool and compact design of this router and it’s something I like keeping out in the open, because of how futuristic it looks.

We started having problems with Bell Fibe (without a receiver on the 2nd TV using a Firestick) about a month ago after a new building went up next door. After calling them a few times and they telling us our service is fine and rebooting the router over and over again, we thought we’d try an extender — Bell kept trying to sell their pods. A few days ago I decided to log in to the router’s URL to see if I could figure something out and lo and behold the “whole home Wifi” was “off”. Once I turned it on, the Wifi is now perfect. This is why I’m not giving this Wifi extender a bad review as I’m sure it works even if I couldn’t figure it out.

Router looks too cute and Range of the router is pretty impressive. Set-up process was quick. With my fire stick max gen 2 I could see the actual difference in performance, Video loads faster and In the router Advanced settings there is AI Traffic optimiser, this helps to control traffic for connected devices. We can prioritise the traffic for each of our connected devices. If u have more than one router you can make the other router as a mesh setup. There are lot’s of features inside, Router looks like a Marine creature. Its light weight amd compact.
