I’ve been using these D’Addario Guitar Strings for many years now and have consistently been pleased.

Primarily, I play my Martin acoustic guitar at church but I also play around the house too so these strings do exactly what I need them to do. I tend to change my strings once a month but they would last much longer than that.

I usually buy a set of medium gauge and a set of light gauge for each of my acoustic guitars.

For the price and the sound I get out of them, I trust D’Addario strings.

Stevie Ray Vaughn was on to something… Thicker strings = fatter tone. Fingers be damned…
I’ve always used slinky, thin gauged strings on my electrics for their kindness on the fingers, but the thicker you can go – the more the TONE will ring out. These were a good balance. Slightly thicker than I’m used to, but the guitar rescue project sounds amazing. Hard to solo on but honestly (for me) acoustic is more about rythm and chprds. I built this guitar to learn Everlong by the FF and it rings out a great satisfying tone. I did a little research before choosing these – good bang for the buck. You can’t go wrong… Just might take a little getting used to… Quit whining. Rub some dirt on it and get back in the game! : )

I use these strings exclusively on both of my acoustic guitars. One is a low cost Yamaha, while the other is a pricey Yairi.
I have tried several brands and compositions and I find these strings give the best sounds for me. They are bright, but have light, pleasant tones.
Strings do not sound the same on every guitar. You will have to try our several to find the strings that best suit your particular guitar. Fortunately these strings are quite affordable.
Do not pick your strings by the name on the package- try them out for yourself and compare!
