I purchased this musical practice tool, mostly out of curiosity, being that it advertises itself as a piano practice tool, and I’m a classically trained pianist. The device has buttons for each of the user’s five fingers, and alternate high or low pitches are made by implementing various fingering combinations on multiple buttons, which is a bit counterintuitive, for a pianist, I suppose, but the device does include sound patches for other instruments, as well as drums, so perhaps it’s more practical in the techniques of other types of instrumentalists. I got to play around with this instrument, a bit, and I still have more investigating to do, with it. Initially, I thought that perhaps the device was a sensor-based instrument, and that it had an accelerometer, or a gyroscope sensor included with it, for the pitch of the notes. Good job on this product!

First impression was that the egg was a little too large for my average size man hands, the buttons are too easy to press, and it’s too difficult to push combinations of buttons so that you get more than five notes. Regarding hand size, my best fit neoprene gloves are size large.
After the first few minutes and wonky first impression, I put it down on the end table and ignored it until…
I was watching some TV and started fidgeting with this egg. I ended up holding it sideways (knuckles horizontal) against the chair arm and playing various riffs and songs. It got a lot easier, including hitting those combiinations of buttons. It seems that needing the note was the right motivation for figuring out how to make the note consistenly. A lot of time passed using this egg as a musical fidget.
I can’t say that the various instruments sound good, but that’s because I have various gear and studio monitors for making good and accurate sound. The sounds are what you’d expect from a little egg thing with a little speaker on one end. They’re good enough and are completely fun. After all, the notes are right. It’s up to me to make the music. So far, it has mostly been sounding out various bits of Beethoven and Mozart piano stuff. And some olf folk stuff. Next will probably be some bass riffs. Or maybe the high plains drifter song. This thing is complete fun.

This is fun to play with and makes so many sounds. The woman who reads the different instrument types has a strong accent and can be difficult to understand. The instruction book is very tiny with tiny letters so It can be a bit difficult to figure out.

It is best to treat this like a new electronic instrument rather than trying to think of it like a hand piano or anything along those lines. You will definitely need to learn the fingering/ practice the scales to get the hang of the finger positions for the three octaves of notes available so that you can play it to best effect.
It is a lot of fun with multiple instrument sounds (piano, cello, violin, drums, flute, and more) available, volume control, a “scale practice” mode that lights up the keys to help you get the fingerings down.
Overall fun and takes up little space so not bad to have in the cabinet to play around with.

I liked the attempt at making a cool musical gadget. My favorite sound on it is the saxophone. None of the sounds are bad for an electronic instrument at this price level. I have played so many instruments over the years. I was able to pick it up and intuitively figure out a couple of octaves of notes. It is fun trying to figure it out. It was a challenge to be able to play it with one hand. There are also what I would call happy accidents. If you fail it doesn’t make any sound like a clarinet squeak. I think the primary failure of this musical instrument is its shape. The egg shape looks good, but isn’t good for holding and pressing buttons in either the one or two handed mode.
