Burned out after 6 months. Worked great in the mean time, and went in perfectly. Amazon couldn’t help me other than to ship a new one, and trying to find info from the manufacturer for warranty was near impossible. If I’m out of a truck, I’m out of work. Had to buy a new one at the parts store, and eat the cost.

I needed a pump in a hurry for a 1998 Ford Contour 2.0 and the price was a lot cheaper than the same pump locally. Amazon came through with next day delivery. Delphi should be a respectable name… but they have resorted to the same Chinese crap that is everywhere in the auto parts industry.
The pump comes with a big assortment of rubber dinguses and gaskets to cover a large range of applications. This is great except they have the marks and feel of inferior quality Chinese rubber. I doubt they will hold up with fuel immersion for long. I chose to reuse my original ford tank gasket which is green and likely made of HBNR to better resist ethanol blended fuels.
There is a rubber spacer at the bottom on the Contour application. None of the included ones were the same and I reused the original one which will likely outlast a new Chinese rubber one anyway.
When you put the strainer on, there is a one way push on clip which helps to retain it. A new one is included with the pump. That’s great, except it’s made from regular ‘ol steel (pretty poorly stamped too) and when you put it on the thing stretches… and stays that way. Falls right $#*%& off. This thing should be spring steel so it can be pushed on and spring back to hold… I took the original one which I had pried off and bent it back into shape and reused it. What a joke.
The pump has a different electrical connector, but an adapter is included. I just hope the insulation doesn’t fall off the wires given the rest of the quality of the parts included with it.
All said and done installed it does work and make pressure and the car runs ok. But lets hope it lasts…
Edit: Now it’s a 1 star review. 9 months and less than 3k miles later, this pump began making strange popping noises while running. The car still ran ok, but it did not sound correct and I did not want to get stuck on the side of the road. I replaced it again with a Bosch pump which was much, much nicer and quieter than this one ever was. Do not buy this pump.
