Not the fault of the part. Denso is Honda’s OEM supplier, and it fits perfectly. After many heat cycles the original plug-in socket tries to stick together and is hard to get your hand on. I accessed it through the frame opening where the left tie rod comes through. Note: The part of the connection that is on the factory harness is what’s clipped to the car on the 7th (2006) generation 2.4L Accord. On this car the short, offset sensor socket is required to put it on, long one won’t fit.

OEM part for an 06 Honda Accord. Worked once installed. Check engine light is now off. I did install it myself and saved on labor cost. There are videos on you tube that will help you. I did order the special socket which you will definitely need to remove n retighten the the threaded end. The other end snaps out and in. You can also rent the socket at your local automotive store. It’s crammed in there but is doable if you know how to use a socket and wrench and wiggle it in to lock in place. Otherwise hire a local mechanic you may know to save a little or pay the high labor price at a shop if that’s your last resort. Good luck and I hope this part lasts for another 170k miles.

It worked, which is what you’d expect, but the first one I tried from Kwiksen did not. Same part number reference, but this is the OEM version and the Kwiksen is an aftermarket option. The Kwiksen was half the price, but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter how cheap it is if it doesn’t work. This Denso is pretty expensive for an O2 sensor, but it works so I guess it’s a bit of you get what you pay for. Installation on a 2003 Honda Accord LX 2.4L was pretty easy (assuming you can get your old one out – mine came out OK). This includes anti-seize compound on the threads as well as a separate small tube – not sure why both, but it’s good regardless. Too expensive for what it is, otherwise would be 5 stars.

My check engine was coming on randomly and intermittently so checked engine codes while light was on and showed up stream 02 sensor fault. Called local part stores and looked at amazon for good 02 sensors, found and ordered this one. Looks just like original 03 Honda Accord upstream air fuel ration sensor (O2 sensor). Not the cheapest sensor I could find but the cheapest for a good reputable brand. Installation was fairly easy, would have been even easier with 02 sensor socket, but just had to bend heat shield a little for wrench to fit on sensor. Engine light went off after 25 miles of driving, or could have reset with code reader. Works great and $40 cheaper than local parts stores.

Like many others, I had a P1157 code on my 2006 Accord 2.4L. Since I could spare the time for the part to be shipped, I was able to get it for 2/3 of what I would have paid at the local auto parts stores and about 1/3 of what I would have paid at the dealer’s parts counter! I got an oxygen sensor socket to do the replacement and it was worth the cost. A squirt of PB Blaster will help break loose the sensor. The Youtube videos make the replacement look like a snap. I’m sure that in some cases it is, but I had trouble getting my big hand into the confined area and it was difficult and time consuming to make the latch on the wiring harness connector of the old sensor let go. If you get frustrated easily, you may want to let a mechanic do the installation.
