Bought on sale and overall seems to be an okay value. Will have to update once the tools get some good use. Got the set with the battery grinder and seems nice and light weight and easier to fit into tight spaces which was what I wanted it for. Likewise with the small impact, very lightweight and versatile. Not concerned with torque so much, if you want or need something with torqueI’m going to say this isn’t it, but it’s a good versatile impact for zipping things out that are already loosened and in less than ideal places. Can still save lots of time and energy.
Charger shown in all images is a DCB107 which is more expensive than the charger received (DCB1102) by about $30cdn, (this seller and all other sellers and platforms including dewalt themselves don’t actually specify the charger model included with this DCK227D2 kit, it is only shown in images) however after some research I guess a DCB107 has a 1.25A charge rate whereas this smaller one is a 2A dual stage charge rate so I guess I can’t complain. Just not sure the reason for the price difference if this is the case. Should still be able to be used with any higher capacity batteries if you plan on upgrading, and charge rate should be good enough and help extend overall lifespan of the batteries since they aren’t fast charging so I don’t care too much upgrading the charger.
Hand grinder guard is removable as well which is good, had a difficult time finding any information on that and wasn’t sure about that “quick adjustment” mechanism but it seems fine if you were to want to use it (I just wanted to know it was removable if required *)
