I have a lot of tools and for different purposes. Working on the house and projects requires a different set of tools than working on the car/farm machinery. I bought two of these boxes to separate the two sets and that has made it so easy when loading up the truck since you can name the boxes on the front tag. Easy to open, carry and pack tools into. I might buy a third one for specialty projects/tools. I am glad I bought these and believe they will last a very long time. This is the best buy for this high-level of quality.

I purchased the Dewalt shallow drawer toolbox (DWST17804) to store my son’s Tomica train cars. The drawers pull out smoothly in/out, and has a positive locking feature which I love and is easy to use. There is a mechanical latch you have to press in order to open the drawers. The dividers are not flimsy; they are sturdy enough to organize parts to Keep them in place when opening/closing the drawers. I had originally bought the Husy 2-drawer 13-compartment but returned it due to drawers so not open and close smoothly (the drawer slides stick). also, the dividers do not fit properly, they bow out of shape and are flimsy. Glad I returned it and purchased the dewalt drawers. Though husky drawers have bigger space, I am overall happy with this dewalt box.

I have been eyeing these for a while for my packout set, smaller, waterproof, durable and strong and very easy to customize. I am working on the rest of the set, but the drawer has already been great, full of dividers which are great for fasteners and smaller tool accessories. A bit of shadow foam two layers deep holds my 1/4″ and my 3/8″ set of sockets+ a few extra wrenches. I have a two drawer set on the way and the long handle deep box also.
Along with the deep toolbox, and a Craftsman Versastack set I just grabbed at my local Napa for $100, I think I can move all my tools I need to work on vehicles in one set and carpentry in the other to help friends and family fix their stuff.
I’m loving these interchangeable tool boxes as they are flexible, versatile, tough, weatherproof and cheap.
I guess I bought into these late but very impressed and satisfied with the looks, quality and flexibility in how I can mix them up and customize the packing of tools in each box.

Love this storage box! I’ve purchased many different toolboxes over the years and there was always something I didn’t like about each of them. If the quality was there, then the capacity was insufficient. If the capacity was there, the quality was insufficient.
One of the clamps to close the box popped off because I had the box overfull, but to my pleasant surprise, it was very easy to snap the clamp back on and it still works as good as new!
This DEWALT toolbox is not only priced appropriately, but also meets all of my expectations! In fact, I just ordered a second one!
