This is small, but you can move the inserts around to make the spaces larger if needed. Definitely shallow, but they are very sturdy and stack and pack well in toolbox.

Great storage for different type of drill bits

I’m using three of these for welding and plasma cutting consumables. They appear to be well built though I can’t comment on durability as I just bought them a few days ago.
I initially bought two of the boxes and was so impressed, I bought another.
You can easily reconfigure the compartments to meet your requirements. Turn the box upside down and nothing comes out of its compartment to end up mixed with the contents of another.
You can buy these with confidence as long as you note the size. If it’s too small, that’s your fault for ordering the wrong box.

I wish I had seen this at the local home improvement store. I would have known then that it was too small to hold all the drill bits of various sized that I want to store. I will find a use for it, but I still must find something larger to store my drill bits in.

I don’t know why DeWalt and other manufacturers can’t get their act together when it comes to explaining their differing stacking box connectors. There is nothing TSTAK about this box. There is no TSTAK box that it will connect to.
This box has DeWalt “ToughCase+” latches on it. It will connect to other medium ToughCase+ boxes and the small ToughCase+ boxes will latch to the top of it. There is NO TSTAK adapter plate or caddy for ToughCase+ available in the US. If you want a TSTAK caddy you have to order it from the UK for some unfathomable reason.
And ToughCase+ should not be confused with DeWalt ToughSystem, though there is a ToughSystem adapter plate available as well as a caddy.
Yes it is an absolutely great box at an amazing loss-leader price. (Oddly, the small box costs almost the same price as the medium and comes with no dividers.) But it has nothing to do with TSTAK and is totally incompatible with TSTAK in the US using only US-sold DeWalt products.
Oddly, there is one Craftsman 20 compartment VersaStack organizer that clips to TSTAK boxes and also has medium ToughCase compatible latches on the top.
I wish these manufacturers would get their acts together and properly explain their “systems”. Better yet it would be nice if they’d try to do some standardization like the tech industry does with USB, etc, but that’ll never happen due to the usual pursuit of vendor-lock business strategy.
FYI the box that these DeWalt ToughCase+ medium boxes will connect to is the CRAFTSMAN
VERSASTACK Part Number CMST17828 which will clip to the top of DeWalt TSTAK boxes as shown in photo.

First of all, you cannot beat the value on this little guy. It’s quite durable and well built, but it also is larger than I was lead to believe. A lot of reviews mentioned its size as a negative, so I was prepared for something fairly small. I’m happy to report that it’s a perfectly functionable and useful size. Will be buying a second one!
