I originally thought this was foldable and that’s why I ordered it. It is my mistake in not reading the description.
I like the design and neutral “gray” color. The quality of the workmanship on the basket I received is good. Note that this is not always the case with DII products, so beware. Their quality has been variable in the past.
This container tapers out at the top, so storing these side by side will leave space at the bottom. The holes for the handles are sturdy. Many items such as clothing, toys, bags of pasta, towels, books, etc. can be stored in this bin. However, if I were moving it around, I would only put light items in it and not books and magazines.
In addition to its standard uses, it can also be used as a cat bed. As you can see from the photos, one of my three cats claimed it as his. I plan to store my winter PJs in it but right now I’m “storing” my cat.
For the current price of $12.99, I think this is competitively priced on the high side. I do feel there are many other options available on the market for that price and some that are even sturdier than this. However, this type of cloth over cardboard bin looks good in a clothes closet because the cloth “matches” the clothing material in the closet as opposed to a plastic bin. Also, it can be used to store items on a large open shelf thereby turning the shelf into a “sort of” drawer.
UPDATE: Besides the matte finish of the larger 13 x 13 x 13″ Trapezoid Storage Container in Chevron Gray above, I also ordered the 11 x 11 x 11″ Trapezoid Storage Container in Chevron Copper which has a high shine metallic finish in the same design. That also arrived in good condition as you can see in the third and fourth pictures. At the current price of $10.99 for the medium, this is also competitively priced on the high side.

One came a little bent but we were able to tidy it up enough and it’s not conspicuous on the shelf so we kept it. Sturdy enough for our purposes and I love the look on our shelving unit. Great for keeping small items looking tidy. Might not be best to heavy items but we haven’t tried; that’s not what we bought it for.
