These are not the sturdiest cubes I have ever seen, the color scratches off fairly easily. They are in my closet so I’m not going to care too much if they scratch a little. I absolutely hate that the folds for the cube are on the handle edges. When placed into the cube shelving unit the folds just sit there and stare at you. I bought 3 sets of different color and print design and they are all like this. Again these cubes are in my closet so I’m letting that fact go. I would not purchase these cubes to go into a main living area where they get a lot of use and abuse due to the color scratching off very easily. Also the color of the print scuffs off onto other items when other items scratch it.

I’m probably starting to sound like a shill for DII, but honestly I rarely come across such consistently good quality and wide variety in a single line of goods. I know there are naysayers who talk about how cheaply made these bins are, but for $9 for a set of two, the quality is outstanding. I’d agree if I’d been asked to pay, say, $25 for the set; in that case I’d agree that it wasn’t worth the price. But I’m amazed at how much you get for your money with these bins. I’ve had other storage bins of a similar type that were far more expensive and ridiculously flimsy, so I am aware of the variations of quality in items like this.
The other thing about DII that appeals to me is the style. The surface designs are well thought out, clean and crisp, and I have only encountered one style which sheds color, the metallics which scuff easily. As for color, I have a few issues with some of the color descriptions — their “rust” is much closer to a red shade than the orange-brown I associate with rust.
However, I see people complaining about the colors not being true, and I would set much of that down to the fact that you’re never going to be able to see the true color on your computer. That’s just how these things work. I haven’t yet found the color in the photos to be dramatically different from the items in-hand, but I keep my monitor well calibrated because I use it for art. My best advice is that if you hate the color, send it back.
Other than that, these little containers are in use all over my house and I plan to buy more as the need arises. They hold dry goods in my pantry, paper goods in my utility closet, household goods like lightbulbs and batteries in my storage area, clothing items in my bedroom… the only limit on the use of these bins is your imagination.
So no, I’m not a DII shill, I just love everything I’ve gotten from their various household lines. I’ve gotten them from Amazon, I’ve bought them at a household store (rhymes with foam hoods) for more than they’re being sold here, and I have honestly loved every item.

Pretty and useful storage containers. They are sturdy and a nice size for closet shelves. I even use them on a bench in entry hallway for keeping scarves, gloves and hats in during cold and wet months. They are pretty enough to add to decor rather tan just look like storage. I also use one in the guestroom closet to hold clean towels and soaps and shampoos for guests. Guests always have what they need without having to hunt around and I always know that the room is prepared for their comfort.

Sturdy and such a great price! Hold a lot more than I thought they would. Using them to hold shorts, swim suits, lingerie, shoes, etc. in my master closet. I bought 8 of them, half in the mauve herringbone and half in the gray starburst. The 2 prints look good together. Definitely worth it!

These gorgeous storage bins are exactly what I needed. They’re very high quality and look very classy. The background is a true white with a medium-gray design, and they measure 11″ on all dimensions.

These are really nice fabric containers! They are a bit bigger than they look in the picture (I expected to get something smaller) and they are really durable. My daughter can put 5 folded sweatshirts in one of the bins. Once opened, they stand up nice, even when empty (not like some that collapse if you don’t have anything in them). It was a good buy, I’ll definitely get more.

I bought these because I had 4 other plain ones and wanted a pattern. I prefer the handles that are cut outs with either a metal or plastic rim around the opening. I didn’t like how cheap the handles looked so I took one of the sides off very carefully with my sewing kit. There are still very small holes from the stitching but you can’t see them from a foot away. For the price and the fact that there was only two, which I needed, these were the best option for me!
