This was a great book to share with fifth grade students. It certainly is disgusting, but as we read the entire book aloud in class you could tell the kids were captivated by the gross, nasty, disgusting information. It’s important to have a strong stomach to be able to read about poop, parasites, and other disgusting things in this world. As you read, though, you are exposing the kids to great nonfiction text structure as well as the whole STEM. If you have any budding scientists or kids that you know that are fascinated by the weirdest things, this is the book for them.
The author is British, so the spellings of various words are British. Wanted to give you a heads up, in case this type of thing bothers you.
