I have an older DJI Phantom and this is a great alternative. The GPS works great, Video and picture quality is awesome as well. It handles stronger winds (around 20+mph with ease, It does give a warning on controller interface for high winds). My ONLY complaint is the mandatory firmware update before flight (I’m impatient 😀), and it’s so.small that it’s easy to lose visual contact in the sky because of the small and light weight specs
if your attention slips. Overall, I am happy.with the purchase, flight time, video quality ect. DJI never fails to deliver a quality product. 😎

Been flying cheaper drones sold on Amazon that had camera functions and I can say this blows them all out of the water. Easy to fly and camera quality is great.

Ive been fascinated by these things for years now, but after looking again and seeing how far they’ve come I decided to pull the trigger on purchasing this one.
I found it easy to learn to fly based on eyars of playing with toy drones.
I dug up an old android phone from a friend with decent brightness to dedicate to the controller/app, that is a good idea as my daily phone wont fit in the controller with my case on it.
I’d imagine that will be an issue for most phones with a case.
The video this drone produces in incredible, I really cant believe it. Its super fun and fast and I plan on taking the 107 after playing with it for a few days. Recommended highly!

This thing rocks in every way. I was never into drones, but putty my house on the market and needed drone shots of the land. One guy quoted me $150 for just pictures. I was like heck I can buy a drone and learn to fly it for less than that. I got one of those cheapy no name ones on here for like $80 well you get what you pay for. It wouldn’t stay connected to take pics would blow around with the wind sent it back. Said forget it spend the money buy the good stuff. It cost about 10x as much but was worth every cent. This thing is amazing. Pictures are gorgeous. Super easy to fly and figure out. Doing the test run with the cheapy one probably didn’t hurt any though. But this dji mini 3 is spectacular. My only gripes about it which may be theyll change on future versions. 1. I wish you could zoom out the camera, yes you can fly further away but I was scared to take it that far first run or that high. 2. I wish you could record and take pics while recording like you can do on some cell phones. If there is a way to do this I couldn’t figure it out. 3. It’s got this booster pack to charge 3 batteries, but it will only charge them one at a time and with a USB cord, you have to provide your own plug. For this much money it should come with a plug, or even better straight plug to an outlet and charge all 3 at once.
Some tips, watch a YouTube video or two of starting out. Do not plan to use it the day you get it. All the batteries need to charge up to become active (probably overnight) and you have to set up an account, register stuff, downloads firm ware updates and install them. So set up to start takes maybe an hour and first charge of all the batteries and remote like 6-8 hours, I forget how long. But you’re not going to open it up and go fly so just a heads up there.
Other than that it’s awesome.

After years of struggling with lesser machines, I finally decided to spend a little more and go for a drone from DJI, reputedly among the best there is. What a great choice, just unpacking the contents of the box said quality. The instructions are easy to follow, the linked remote a real joy to use and the amazing range of functions the drone is capable of is brilliant. The little extra it costs is truly worth it for a first class flying experience.

Perfect beginner drone. Compact design comes in handy to store. Loads better than other cheaper drones on the market. Really good camera, shoots vertical and horizontal picture and video. The range is mediocre. I have noticed if it gets just a little bit too far away the signal bars go down drastically. Also no sensors on this model so have to fly it higher to avoid trees.

The DJI family of drones are really the gold standard as far as consumer drones are concerned. Set is fast, simple and easy to understand. If you have flown radio controlled helicopters or cheaper drones in the past this will be a piece of cake to fly. If you get into trouble take your thumbs off the sticks and the drone will immediately stop in a stable hover.
Performance is wind is also very good and the return to home feature can be a lifesaver as long as you have set the return height above surrounding obstacles.
Flight time is very good and can be expanded through additional battery packs which can be purchased separately.
Photo and video quality is very good as well though you will have to purchase a couple of decent sized micro SD cards which are inserted into a slot on the drone and in the case of the RC controller into it if you wish to also record to the controller.
Overall this drone with the RC controller at the current price is quite a good deal.

I fly drones commercially and this one is not my first, but it’s possibly one of my best.
As the title hints, this thing flies so very well. The flight is very stable, the controls are snappy, and video feedback (in this case, through the Fly App) is practically in real time.
I do have a few criticisms however. The battery life is a bit short compared to other similar drones. The way to charge the battery is a bit wonky, as you have to do so through the drone itself unless you have a dedicated charging bay that fits that battery (which you should anyway). And finally, the Fly App isn’t on the play store for Android. You have to get it from DJI’s website. This wouldn’t be much of a criticism, but it it’s place on the play store are a number of scam apps. These apps are expensive or require expensive subscriptions, and they don’t work.
To DJI: please consider putting the Fly App on the Android play store before somebody pays a lot to brick his/her new drone.
But overall, this is a good drone. I think professionals and hobbyists both will find it worth the money.
