Update: I bought some Elixirs and took a set of these off my guitar after 2 weeks of play and strung it with the Elixirs. Ultimately, the two brands are very comparable. Any difference would fall under personal preference IMHO. The Elixirs are a bit more “jangly” and create a slightly brighter strumming sound. The Donners are a bit more bold and clear for fingerpicking which I really like. The Elixirs are a bit more gold in color while the Donners are more a brass color. Ultimately, the Donners are less that $5 a set and the Elixirs are at least $10 so I’ll buy the Donners going forward.
I usually buy Elixir strings but saw these available for a fraction of the price and decided to give them a try. They sound great. I strung the guitar and used it for a gig the next day and they played fabulously and stayed in tune.
My only negative comment is that the .52 gauge E string is a bit too loose for D tuning which I use fairly often as a fingerpicking player. However, I’m quite sure that is related to it being a .52 gauge instead of .55. Having said this, It is still workable but just requires a lighter touch when tuned to D.
Overall, these strings are great and at this price, I can change them whenever I wish.

These are fine for what they are. Cheap strings. They sound better than they have any right to for the sub $3 a set I paid, but are nowhere near the quality of any reputable brand. I have installed them on two guitars so far, and they are a little rough feeling, but I have not had problems with breakage or tuning slippage. I have no complaints about the tone so far, and have not yet had them installed long enough to comment on longevity.
What I think these strings are best for is if you have a lot of guitars, or are changing strings all the time, or fixing guitars up to resell. I am putting them on guitars that I may be doing modifications to later, and won’t care if strings break as I continually take them on and off the guitar to get into the sound hole to install electronics or work on frets.
The little stickers on each string are kind of funny, but they work out just fine, and don’t get in the way.

No están mal las cuerdas pero fácilmente se desafinan.

Bought these to try out because they are such good value. They are absolutely fine in quality, just no fancy packaging that generally adds to price.

I’ve tried alot of coated and uncoated strings. Tried these on three guitars. These tarnished and died faster than any strings I have ever tied. There is no visible evidence of a coating. Sound is flat. Now I’m stuck with 10 sets of lousy strings, but the company did reach out to make things right and that’s better than I can say for some other string manufacturers.

This is not a long term string like an elixir. But it sounds ok.

Ok, there’s pros and cons
Pros:
Budget friendly
Fair tone *
Feels good
Stays in tune very well
Cons:
Bright, almost a bit too much and the midst are high too
A bit too scratchy in the winding. Like, bar chord to bar chord you better let go. SWOOOOOSH!
So, too be fair let me split the difference.
If you are putting them on an electric acoustic, then your amp and EQ can round them to the sound that you want easily. And you save money.
Dreadnought, unplugged acoustic guitar will sound empty-like
I would not recommend putting these on a loud guitar like a Martin because you will lose the soul of what you like.
I know my review sounds a little mixed but I will continue to buy these because they suit my needs because I plug in.
Weigh out your decision

I like these strings. Don’t let the price fool you into thinking these strings are sub Par, they’re great. The packaging was minimalistic and made for little waste. The strings don’t feel as “plush” as other nano coated strings, but sound bright and warm with good sustain. The strings appear to be partially pre-stretched as they tuned up quick and held true. All in all, unbelievable strings at well below the price that the market usually demands. Buy and enjoy!
Update – I’ve been playing daily with these strings for six weeks and find they hold up to the wear of daily play better than Elixir strings. An excellent buy!

Saiten die zu der Gitarre passen. Die Marke, der Service perfekt !
I. Mullis –
When I first strung them up on my Acoustic Guitar they sounded really tinny and I thought “Oh boy, another subpar guitar string manufacturer’. So I started the return process. I turned the strings to an open E tuning as I always do with new strings to stretch them out a little as the OPEN E Sharp is kind of a high tuning. I left them like that for most of the day. That night I picked the guitar up and tuned it down to an Open A tuning and started playing. I have been playing for decades so I am no novice and I have to tell you they sounded great. They held their tune and sounded just as good as te Martin Strings I usually use. So after I write this I am going to cancel my return and keep them. Just give these strings a minute to stretch out, or definitely stretch them out the way you do it and they will be fine.
