I had forgotten how much I liked Dr Hook until I purchased a CD, either from you or at a used book/cd store. I remembered him from the time that I was stocking beer coolers in a bowling alley at 4AM and listened to the radio. {Zat the time my regular job was Assistant Controller but we had just had twins, doubling our family size and I needed the money}. I enjoyed it so much that I researched, and found this one, Why are some titled Dr Hook and others Dr Hook and the Medicine show.

But then Dr Hook has been a favorite for many years, probably this current generation is unfamiliar with their sound but they should listen… I first heard Sylvia’s Mother about 40 years ago and I have never tired of it. I can play it today and it is llas if listerning for the first time. I surely recommend this to get feeling of Dr Hook.

I bought these for my husband as his record from long ago was confiscated at his son’s party! Since their arrival he plays them every day. He is so excited to have so many of Dr Hooks works. He sings Karaoke at many places and has a great voice. He can now reintroduce the lyrics he forgot into his performances. Thanks they’re GREAT!!

Dr Hook, wow, takes me back to high school days. The songs (most written by Shel Silverstien) Are unpredictable, one minute its the humor of “Got stoned and I missed” to a love song like ” When she cries”. Anyone who hasn’t heard this great music, really should give it a chance. I really am a number one fan.

well we’re big rock singers, we got golden fingers, and we’re loved everywhere we go… If you listened to R&R in the early to mid 70’s, you will remember several of these songs and find some new ones to love. Four years older than me, Penicillin Penny, Roland the Roadie, come to the freaker’s ball and order this.

I had this long ago on vinyl (and i’m beginning to catch up on myself). Best upbeat tracks are “Lady Godiva” and “Marie Labeau” (or something like it), the downbeat ones are OK to listen to when you’re in a good mood or driving. They’re relaxing. You can’t beat Dr Hook for music stage comedy – the US version of the Sensational Alex Harvey Band.
