I had one of these in my younger days so I got this to label boxes of craft items. works great, tape is hard to find but I got 5 rolls when I got the maker

Works fine. Handle is a little flimsy feeling. If you buy this product be prepared to pestered by seller for review. They just won’t stop sending you emails till you leave a review. The label maker works fine but i am writing this review under cohesion. I just want the emails to stop. I lay awake at night in fear of the next email, will it be today, tomorrow, now. Will my phones chipper tone alerting me that i have mail wake me up in the middle of the night. You never know. I lay awake, scared, sweaty, empty and forgotten. A shell of the man i was befor the emails started. Hopefully i can rebuild by life and once again know what its like to live without the chains of enslavement cast upon me by the relentless emails. You may have won this round dymo xpress lable maker, but i will rebuild my life from the ashes like a Phoenix till once again i have the courage to check my email.

It’s amazing for the price range and since I like stuff organized this was just another great addition to fuel my ocd. This is easy to use and you can start labeling straight out of the box.. On the down side if you need this to label electronic components which get warm during operation the label shrinks but you can make out a faint outline. It might just not be for that use. But a great product to label your spice jars and organisers.

No tiene instructivo, pero es intuitiva. Viene en color negro, no azul como en la foto. Funciona bien, aรบn con cintas genรฉricas (de la medida correcta). El precio se me hacer muy elevado, creo que ya hay otras opciones en el mercado.

I bought something just like this when I was about 10 or 12, I’m now 50 something, After I used it to label all my parts drawers for my hobby stuff it got left laying somewhere and my dad got a hold of it. Than it lived in the garage for awhile while he labeled everything under the sun. At one point he came to me and asked where I got it cause I had nearly used up all the tape, and it was out. Than my mom got a hold of it. After that it lived in that kitchen drawer everyone has full of junk that is just too miscellaneous to categorize and properly place but everyone needs at some time or another. It lasted forever as far as I know. It became a household tool and anyone who needed it knew where it was and used it. I remember it was still around and working when I went to college, but not sure what happened after that.
This is just like that one I had all those years ago functionally. It imprints a little plastic strip that will stick to certain things well, like plastic and metal, and is easily readable. The letters do sometimes print a little out of alignment, that part of it’s character. If your obsessive compulsive, stay the heck away from this thing, you will end up in a psyche ward. If you need fancy labels, get one of the more expensive electronic paper type.
This is great for labeling parts bins, tool drawers or boxes etc. Fancy printed paper labels would get smeared with dirt and grime in a garage environment, that why i went looking for one of this type. It prints quite easily, don’t be heavy handed and it should last you. It is made of plastic so it could be easily broken. It does not take much force to print the labels. The feature to terminate a label so it easy to peel the paper works great.
Not good if you want something pretty, great for labeling garage environment type stuff. I plan to do a wiring cabinet for my home computer network and TV distribution network etc so wanted a way to label the ins and outs of the various cables.

I was worried about how this item would work because of the negative reviews, but I figured I should give it a shot because the positive reviews seemed to answer a lot of the positive review’s concerns/issues, from what I could tell. Plus, I wanted that cute vintage style that only these kinds of embossing label makers can produce, wanted to get one and try it out before they completely went extinct, and I was willing to take the risk.
I went to work trying to label whatever I found practical to label, with some exceptions. I found that if you pressed firmly, the letters came out perfectly, just as videos and reviews advised. You do not need too much effort, but if you are tired and/or only squeeze a little, it will not work. At one point on the day I received the item, I accidentally turned the dial before fully releasing the trigger, and a horrifying sound came from the machine. The letters stopped getting punched in, and I freaked out for a good ten minutes while I searched for more information on the product. The label maker was not working, as you can see in the first and second picture. However, after maybe five additional minutes after I stopped freaking out, I tried out the machine again, it was somehow working again perfectly, as you can see in the third picture! I am very satisfied with this product, and if it breaks, I will likely purchase another one.

This thing stopped working after one roll’s worth of tape. Yes, there is a “trick” to using it, whic I learned quickly, you have to clamp down with very firm pressure and several times without opening the clamp for that letter… Which is already a pain in the neck that I just “got over” and dealt with. But then it stopped working completely. I was using it the other day and the numbers began to barely show through, with my usual firm pressure method. It got lighter and lighter until it finally stopped embossing the letters all together. I guess the disc inside it got worn out from overuse. Having to squeeze it with crazy pressure will do that to a cheap piece of plastic!
*I just tried using it again as I sit here and proofread my review, and it’s embossing these weird chunks into the middle of the tape. Just garbage basically.
So to top it all off, it’s two weeks past the deadline for returns. I bought extra rolls and everything. I would purchase one like they used* to make, I remember they were built well. This is an apparent cheaply made plastic item that doesn’t compare to what we used to see in these “back in the day”. I do not recommend this purchase.
