This printer goes to sleep very quickly when not in use, so if you need a wireless printer to sit in a warehouse on standby, it is useless. It also fails to reconnect to wifi on occasion, when waking up. For a wireless printer there is way too much intervention needed to keep it online.

I have read other reviews saying the printer doesn’t wake when printing from the iphone app and that the app doesn’t work well for printing, so people just use the program on the computer. I HAVE HAD NONE OF THOSE ISSUES!
I primarily use the app on my iphone to print all sizes of labels. the interface is easy and allows you to make labels with ease. Everytime i use the app i dont need to wake the printer, it automatically connects and starts printing, even when i am in my garage labeling totes and i have to go to the office to grab the label. Super easy to use and very efficient. BEST WIRELESS LABEL PRINTER YET!

This label printer functions well. As with all Dymo products, its functions are not necessarily intuitive and the inability to store addresses is frustrating. However, for general small business/home use, it work well.

Perfect printer for a small office that needs to label documents and so on. I wish it has the Etherner option as well and that might be even cheaper but WiFi works flawlessly so far.

The only thing wrong with this printer is people NOT READING the instructions. It goes to sleep after 30 minutes. Push power button, print, push power button print. Not losing connection to the wifi, just sleeping. Push power button, print. Repeat. Works every time.

I’ve been using PC-connected Dymo printers for years and the original Dymo Label Software, while not great, is manageable. But the software NOW offered from Dymo is Dymo Connect. Ugh. There is nothing intuitive about this user interface, and if you have been using the “legacy” Dymo Label Software, then you’re probably going to be disappointed. The biggest problem: no address book. While there IS some sort of Outlook data import (or access, not sure which), what I wanted was to use my old Dymo address book. After exporting that address book to a CSV file, and then (apparently) successfully importing it into Dymo Connect, those addresses are nowhere to be found.
On the upside, there are many more printer layout options in Dymo Connect. That might be more important to you. In my experience, both software packages live side-by-side, so you can have the best of both worlds.
So, at least for now, find Dymo Label version 8.7.xxx and you will be able to use the Dymo 450 AND wireless label printers. Both software packages will work so you can pick the one you like. Neither is going win any awards for great software design and usability, but the printers themselves might be enough to make the software tolerable. That’s been my experience.

It’s hard to list all of the reasons for why this piece of equipment truly sucks so freaking bad.
First off, if you have dreams of importing information into the software, and then printing large quantities of labels with ease. You are mistaken. It is difficult to use. CLUNKY would not even begin to describe the intense frustrating errors that come up all over the place just trying to print a label. You have everything manually step by step for each product. You cannot do a massive import. So, this means it will take you a lot of time if you have to print a lot of labels for a lot of products.
Then, if you are lucky enough to get the labels to load into the machine without it become possessed and just spewing forth labels as fast possible, you might be able to print a label. However, guess what happens if 50 labels get jammed all at once through the machine? It gets gummed and full and labels stuck the the rollers which you have to then clean out meticulously.
So, even then, let’s say you get the thing working the labels will then just go off center randomly and you may then have to reprint your whole batch if you didn’t double check. Even though it worked fine an hour ago.
When you have to replace the tape you have to go through the same process every time.
While it is possible to connect this machine to my wireless network. It will NOT STAY CONNECTED. So, it is useless in that regard. I have done all of the steps, connected to it, etc. I can print a test label. Then poof it just decides to vanish. The machine is visible on the router but you can’t ping it, can’t print to it, nor even load the web interface to figure out what’s going on. I have reset the machine multiple times and done the same set up and each time this same problem occurs.
There is a serious problem in everything to do with this product.

Es muy complicado vincular la impresora a una señal wi-fi y ésta vinculación se pierde muy seguido por lo que hay que volver a instalar Lamentablemente la página de la marca no tiene soluciones fiables

Works perfectly
I’ve been using this since February to print labels for my figure parts. It is very easy to set up and to create the labels. The print is great and the labels are high quality. I am very satisfied with this.

Great, works well. A bit difficult to setup initially, but once I got it going it was good. Just needed to be reset to factory settings, a google search helped me to get it going quick once I sorted that out. Happy that I decided to take a chance on what likely was a return from their warehouse. Knowing that gave me the idea of resetting it and voila the labels are now flying out of it in record time!

I purchased this product with great hope. The product turned out to be a major disappointment. I was unable to hook this up to my network that is linked to the router. Of course, you need a password to link the printer to the network. Of course the network is set up so that only certain computers with a specific MAC address can access the network. Why would I want everyone to access my wireless network? No business can afford to have that happen. Was I able to connect the printer to the network? No. Forget about printing. I couldn’t even get to that point. Did I place the MAC address on the white list on my router? Yes, I did. Did I turn the router off and on? Yes, I did. Did I turn the DYMO label printer off and on? Yes, I did, Mr. DYMO.
The support at DYMO was terrible. I was put on hold forever. There was no helpful internet info. Don’t even speak to me about WPS. WPS is not an option for a business. There was a cable that allowed me to hook up to a USB port, and so I was hoping that I could still print from one specific printer; and if I could’ve done that, I would’ve been somewhat satisfied; but no, I couldn’t even do that.
What you have in DYMO is a company that has a virtual monopoly and is therefore lazy and stupid. That they are not bright enough to develop a label printer that can hook up to an ethernet cable is beyond ridiculous. What planet are they living on? Do they even talk to their customers? Apparently not.
It’s clear that the owners of the company nor any of its employees or developers have never once used their product.

I have a small liquor store and this makes life easier when creating labels. This connects via wifi so make sure you don’t have auto join on another network like an internet connection or you will battle constantly to keep it connected. Absolutely perfect label making machine. So easy to use. I use a MacBook so create a label template in pages, save to desk top for convenience and viola labels anytime you need one or five hundred.
