The device stopped recognizing XTL DYMO Label cartridges SKU # 1868753 in less than a month. I tried 3 NEW cartridges with same SKU # and none worked. It simply says no cartridge inserted. I had an important project to deliver and I am now sitting with over 160 CAT-6 cables with no labels on them and the project has come to a halt. Called DYMO Support who are ‘not a support’ center. They simply offered full replacement and gave me NO ETA. It has all gone south with this product.

Work bought one of these for labeling our IT room and office drops. It is fantastic and easy to use. Waaaay more user friendly menus than any of the competitor brands I’ve used in the past. Be careful not to get tape bigger than 1 inch though, it won’t fit.

Does an outstanding job I gave it 4 stars because I did not see anything on the site that stated this was not comparable with regular Dymo Industrial label cartridges. You must use the Dymo XTL tape cartridges which are more expensive. Machine is very nice and works well packaged is a good case.

Product looks cool, but unfortunately as I’m trying to print I realized I received a broken unit. The side button for clipping the labels was completely missing( looked like it had broken off) and labels were getting stuck inside. I’ll try another unit when a job requires it again.

It’s Great and fast to use. Just like the other reviews it works very well.
NEGATIVES 1ST then positives.
-The tape which has the backer split in the middle, causes a crease in the label (yes, it’s super easy to peel but I would avoid this type of tape). This crease causes the to print to be faded or no print at all. This is a huge issue with wire lables where the printer repeats and the font is small. Even with a standard label the crease causes the lettering to be faded or all together missed.

-The ability to print on the larger labels means you can tag wires that need a little more info (great for the service guys N gals)
Other than that, all you cable guysn gals, electrician’s, data guru’s, access control and alarm dudes and dudettes will not be disappointed.

Thin line through centre battery charge is minimal and loses charge through a few days. Not impressed at all. As mentioned prior not for professional use. Is advertised for the pros and can not recommend. Will be referring back to company and Amazon about purchase.

Initially, this labeler was really nice. I would’ve hoped so for the price of it. This labeler was babied and the cartridge motor gave out. It would recognize the cartridge correctly, but when you would try to print, the motor wouldn’t move, so the labeler would assume that the label material was jammed and make you remove and reinstall the cartridge. It was something in the circuit board itself after disassembly to determine the issue. Not worth the hassle – get a Rhino series, forget the XTL labelers.

It’s bigger and heavier than I expected, but it works great. Feels sturdy and tough. Comes with a protective case. Comes with 1″ vinyl tape, and 1″ pre-sized labels. Lots of customisable options. Makes labelling patch panels and cables super easy.
