Fabulous! If you want early harp music (or any other instrument) this book ticks all the right boxes. Easy for beginners, but plenty here to learn with.

Purchased this to start playing the Irish harp. If you read sheet music and understand how instruments work, this is a good place to start. Good variety between very easy and more challenging pieces. The notation goes down to the F – my harp stops at the G, but you can easily work around it without losing any sounds. Some pieces have lever changes indicated (for f’s and c’s only, as far as I have seen), but a lot of them don’t have any sharp notes in them at all.
Some of the arrangements are a little monotonous and repetitive, but I generally like authentic medieval music and the relatively flat sound of it. If you are looking for the medieval “movie” sound, however, this is probably not for you.

I would rate the difficulty from advanced beginner to intermediate. I have a 26 string harp, and most of the pieces are easily adapted to fewer strings. The selections are quite lovely, with a nice mixture of quick dances pieces and slower chansons and airs.
