Had the Green EBC pads before, they had lots of dust…these should be less. Great product, especially these ones, they have a single, one piece clip on shim where as the Green had individual shims which clipped into each piston. I had one of the individual shims dislodge and jam up in the caliper.
TRACY GROVE –
Brake performance was stellar. Used new EBC slotted Rotors. Lasted 2 months, 4,100 miles with ordinary mixed driving before scraping wear indicators. Never towed a trailer. Retailer offered zero customer service. Referred me to the manufacturer. Huge waste of time.

I bought these for my 2011 FJ Cruiser. I’ve had them on for a few thousand miles now, and so far I love the way they feel. They definitely feel like an improvement over stock. I have not towed with them yet, because I only tow my boat in the summer, and it’s winter now, but that is the main reason I decided to go with these.

Still breaking these in–they stop just fine, but they squeal. Hopefully that goes away after break-in is complete. EBC’s site has good information on the recommended break-in process for different types of driving. Fits a 2011 FJ Cruiser perfectly, but does not come with any springs or pins.

red, not orange. just like I wanted

These things bite hard. They also squeak really bad… I would be very disappointed if they weren’t going on a 20 yr old 4runner. I would suspect there’s limited longevity with these. They do bite really good thou.

EBC pads are the best pads for the money. They have a thin abrasive coating that helps condition old rotors. If properly installed they will take the pulse out of rotors that have light rust issues or improper resin transfer. I am only buying EBC from here on our. Their rotors are outstanding too. I bought a set of EBCs 10 years ago for my Corolla and theybare still going strong in high salt norther winters.

If you’re looking to stop on a dime and get change back, EBC pads are for you. Low noise, excellent stopping power. These are on the dusty side, but I don’t care cause the truck finally feels like it has real brakes.
CRB Racing –
I did the Tundra brake upgrade on my 3rd Gen 4Runner with a Powerstop kit. Since then, the braking power seemed weaker than stock. Kind of like the master cylinder was to small. I’d have to really get on the brakes get the rig ti stop at a good pace and the pedal always had that wood feeling and it didn’t get better the harder I pressed the pedal.
I was just about to swap out the brakes back to stock, but I thought I’d give EBC pads a try. I’ve always run them in all my motorcycles.
What a difference! Got initial bite, without feeling grabby. The more pressure I put into the pedal makes a huge difference in braking power! I can just feather the brake pedal and come to a stop where I had to put a decent amount of pressure with the pads that came with the kit. Fits WL calipers even if Amazon claims it doesn’t.
