For the price, it’s pretty good. It works. I used it for two weeks but then I found the Cuisinart model used at a thrift store. I was shocked by how much better the Cuisinart is (of course the regular price is nearly 3x the price of this little one). I thought it was good but not compared to the Cuisinart, there is no comparison. You need to leave the ice cream or sorbet in this one for at least 30 minutes and it will still be runny and you will have to freeze it for a while before eating. The Cuisinart was done and ready to eat in 15 minutes. There is another benefit to this one though, if you keep the bowl in the freezer, the top piece takes up no space in the cupboard. The Cuisinart takes up space in both the freezer and even more in the cupboard.

This little icecream maker works well as long as you freeze the bowl first. You literally have to put the bowl in the freezer for like 8 hours before you can make icecream in it. It doesn’t get cold on its own like some of the cold plates do. It comes with a recipe book and a couple flavor packets to start. Easy to use just put the ingredients inside the frozen bowl and attach the mixing spatula to the top and turn it on. Only take a few minutes to chern up some homemeade icecream for you. It is a little noisy but no more than a microwave. I gave it a 3 out of 5 simply bc of the amount of time it takes to prep the product before you can actually use it.

I tend to purchase items sold on Amazon such as this based on customer reviews. I figure that if 500 or more customers rate something 4 star or above, the product might be worth checking out. I think I will up that threshold to 1,000 or more after this purchase.

First of all, paddle and attachments are made from the cheapest plastics on earth. I’ve no doubt that under the best of care, the components would begin to fail within six months. Based on its construction, I wasn’t about to test my theory. I decided to send it back after only three uses.

During its maiden voyage, I made the lemon gelato. Gelato it did fine and I was very impressed. Then I attempted to make cheesecake ice cream. I followed the manufactures recipe book to the “T” and ended up with a soupy mess. I errored on the side of fairness because I only froze the bowl for 16 hours and not 24 as there manufacture suggested.

I tried to make honey ice cream. Again, I used the recipe provided in the manufactures book of recipe’s. This time I let the bowl freeze for about 30 hours. I ended up with a soft serve milkshake.

The owners manual states the machine will shut off automatically after 30 minutes. I’m not sure whose measurement of time they are going by when they stated this, but mine just kept going until I shut it down.
…….washed it out, placed it back in the box and set it by the door to be returned to Amazon.

This thing is a total waste of time and money. Buyer beware!
