Energizer LED Flashlight, Super Bright For Camping

I am very pleased with the Energizer Vision HD Performance Metal Flashlight– and perform it does. With 400 Lumen, it is stronger, brighter and better then any other flashlight I have owned. The 6 inch size is a real plus, not heavy but very compact and light enough to carry with you, tuck into a convenient place like a back pocket, hang in a closet or stow in a drawer. The rotating illumination size, brightness and flasher give you a great choice depending on the conditions. This flashlight is perfect for me, when lighting up the backyard while taking the dog out — always mindful of coyotes – it’s a great warning signal for me. The flashlight while compact, feels sturdy and has just the right weight in your hand. The etched sides make it easy to get a grip on, no slipping from your hand. I really like this flashlight and will be purchasing additional ones for other members of the family. #GotItForFree

The brightens of this relatively small flashlight is out of this world.You can really see the difference between a ‘traditional’ and an LED flashlight if you never used one before. Plus there are I think up to 5 different ‘light modes’ ,as in ; regular , brighter ,very bright , blinking patterns and one more.Thing is when I slapped the included Energizer batteries in ,it did not turn on no matter what I tried.I read and re-read the manual (which I already knew would be a waste of time ,especially regarding a flashlight) and still ,no-go.As a last resort I replaced the included supposedly ‘new and charged’ Energizer batteries with my own unopened Duracell ones and wham! It lit up like Bodily Fluid Under UV Light! ! And here I was about to send it back.So yeah,that little hiccup ‘scared’ me but after putting the new set of batteries in it, I’m loving it.It’s very sturdy , well made and like I said very bright ,especially if you crank it all the way up.Haven’t used it that much since the day I bought it (almost a year) so I don’t know how many hrs can you squeeze out of it being ‘on’ continuously , but I do turn it on every month or so just to make sure it’s still working – and it is.Great purchase if you want a very bright LED flashlight but in a small form.Highly recommend it.

This is a great flashlight. Well-designed, well-built, easy to use the three functions. I love the strobe function. I was grinning like a kid with a couple of Hershey bars in my hand as I repeatedly pointed the strobe function at an airplane poster on my study wall. And today was the solar eclipse. So blessings abound today.

I bought this torch to replace my old energizer torch which I had owned for over 14 years & sadly lost it while travelling. This torch is the new version of the old one.

This torch is much brighter, it has 3 settings, high, low & strobe (it says 7 on the pack, but I don’t know how they get to that), it has a quality finish, with a nice solid feel, however it is a bit too smooth (slippery) in my opinion; the old torch had a rougher surface on the handle which gave you a much safer grip. I worry about this one slipping from my hand (though it does come with a fairly thin, ordinary, hand strap).

My other disappointment is that the on/off button is now on the shaft, rather than on the butt of the shaft, which is where the old torch had its button. I was aware of this when I bought it, but after using this torch a few times I find that I’m really missing having the button on the end. It was much easier to use that way.

What this means is that you have to be holding the torch the right way in order to have your finger on the button, if not you have to rotate the torch; further to this, the button is quite small. I wish Energizer had stayed with the button on the end of the shaft.

If it had a more grippy handle & the power button on the end I’d give it 5 stars.

Digital zoom is neat, you have to press and hold power button once light is on, after a few seconds you’ll notice the power shifts back and forth slowly between the “flood bulb” and the spot bulbs. Just let go when you have desired ratio of flood light and focused light.
I had to drop to 2 stars once I discovered bumping/shaking can turn it off when using. (Like the connection to batteries is flimsy.)
Update: It’s been less than 6 months and now the zoom and flashing modes cause light to turn off, now functions like a dollar store light. (Just on/off (if you’re lucky))
