I like that the “arm” for both panel and keyboard are able to be moved around to accommodate where I’m sitting. However, there is still limited areas to mount the unit on the desk. And because I have a hutch on my desk, I find that the work station has more limits to its mobility than I originally expected of it – constantly hitting or bumping into the hutch.
Also, the keyboard arm is limited by how far it can move from the mounting pole, which puts a great limitation to where the work-center can be mounted on the desk. When I’m sitting, the keyboard arm often bumps into the desk top. It would almost be better if the keyboard arm had an additional “knuckle/bend” to the arm, to allow greater mobility. The tray does not tilt, which I find a severe limitation.
Overall when standing, however, I find this work-station to be of benefit.

Arrived with all parts present and with picture instructions. It is solidly constructed and requires a sturdy workstation. It took a few hours to put together, since I am not mechanically inclined and took my time! Everything fit well and my monitor is new enough that it did not require an adaptation, for which they provide some hardware if that is needed. Take some time upfront to plan positioning, as it takes up some space and need to make sure it will be in the correct position for your work area when complete. In trialing it out the first day, the units moved smoothly and held in position. Hoping it stands the test of time and will update!

Acheté pour faire une station de travail en CAO. Très costaud (15Kg en même temps) et très complet d’utilisation.
Le montage se fait sans difficulté majeure, pour peu que l’on soit bien attentif aux instructions.

Overall, great product. Monitor arm is strong and sturdy. Very easy to adjust back and forth from sitting to standing position. The 360 degree rotation ability provides for very flexible installation options, and configurations.
Only drawbacks are the keyboard tray. Its a little flimsy and flexes with just the weight of your hands on the keyboard. Also, the bumper padding for your wrists is a little high, making it harder to type on lower profile keyboards such as Apple wireless keyboards.

This is far overpriced. The LX Desk Mount LCD Arm is $127.99. This stand up is basically two of those items on a slightly longer post, with a plate to hold a keyboard instead of a monitor. This should be $270.00 MAX!! Rip off because stand up desk is a trend. KMA!

This arm system is really sturdy and works well. A couple of issues: The tilt adjustment on the monitor arm is really stiff regardless of what you do to the adjustment screw. I was afraid I’d break the back of my monitor because of the force required to tilt it upright. Also, just because of the geometry of the arms, the keyboard arm partly covers the right bottom corner of the screen when it’s set close to the desk (I attached the arm system to the right side of the desk). Overall, it’s a great system for a sit-stand setup, in my case a room-scale Vive VR system that I also use for sit-down gaming.

I’ve been using this for over 6 months now, and love it. I wasn’t able to mount it so that I can sit down (monitor power cord not long enough to go up the apparatus and then back down, but I could buy an extension cord; and I had to mount it back far enough on my desk that the keyboard doesn’t clear the front of the desk), but that is okay as I don’t want to sit anyway. I love that I can adjust everything, depending on whether I am barefoot or in heels, or feel like slouching a little. Everything stays where I put it, and I even have to let my ergonomic keyboard hang off the right edge, and it is still ok. I had been worried that the slide-out mouse tray would break, but it is holding strong, and I have a left-handed, ergonomic (bigger and heavier than some) mouse. Love this product and get no arm pain when I stand at my computer rather than sit. I think my legs have even gotten a little more toned from standing.

why is this so expensive? You can buy the lx monitor arm then buy the keyboard arm on ebay and save ~200$$ .
Assembly is simple and the range of movement is great. Way higher than any other solution which is fantastic. it’s light and you can hook it onto any desk.
I knocked 1 star off because the keyboard tray itself leaves a lot to be desired it’s small and everything shakes if you have a keyboard that requires a bit more force to make it click.
I knocked another star off because the keyboard tray doesn’t have any tilt functionality. as it is, it’s slightly inclined forwards so my mouse keeps falling off. I haven’t found a good solution but will be looking into it slightly sticky mouse pads?? it’s really weird to have to deal with this.

Good, holds position BUT the keyboard arm transmits a monitor wobble making the screen unusable. Contacted Ergotron they didn’t offer any help but suggested it was my fault having cut the stand off my iMac and my desk top was too thin. Imac was tapped and bolted so no difference to any other mount out there. My two desks tried – 50mm thick top then a metal framed one, so that wasn’t the problem. I removed the monitor, the keyboard still transmitted a wobble through to the empty monitor arm… I have managed to buy a XL wall mount pivot fitting on eBay £30 so hopefully we can use this system. The arms on the pole have a lot of play in them, the plastic sleeve that acts as a washer is too thin, I can see this failing in the future. I have spent hours watching YouTube and it appears wobble happens to most connected arm systems, so be warned! I think Ergotron needs to redesign the arm sleeve and admit that wobbling isn’t a user fault.

I’m using this with a Dell U3421WE. The monitor weighs 15.57 lb without the stand and so is about 10lbs below the limit for the mount. Even so, it’s incredibly unstable. Every single keypress makes the screen shake so much that I can’t use it.

As you’d hope for such an expensive purchase this monitor arm is really high quality. The arms are made of a combination of light plastic and heavy metals. The monitor arm supports a wide range of monitors and it feels very safe and secure. Make sure you have some room behind your desk to push the arm back if you want the monitor at the back of your desk but this depends on where on the desk you decide to mount the arm (mine is mounted to the left-back side so the arm needs room to bend back behind the desk to have the monitor in the right position for myself). The monitor arm can back and forth, left to right, up and down and even rotate. Moving the screen angle up and down though is very stiff and required a lot of force from myself to do once the monitor was attached (be careful with the monitor when doing this).
I do wish the height options were a little better but I’m not going to fault the product for it. It does exactly what it promised.
The keyboard arm has most of the features of the monitor arm but it cannot rotate or pitch its angle up and down. This means it has limited use since the mouse would end up sliding off the extendable mouse pad area as soon as you let go of it. The keyboard area provides some sticky areas for you to attach a keyboard more permanently but I did not do this myself since I needed the flexibility to move my keyboard to other areas. You’d be better off sticking some sort of trackball to the tray instead of using a mouse on it, but its great for the keyboard.
Bare in mind that the full product with an attached monitor is VERY heavy and needs a strong desk and some clamp space to attach on (unless you want to modify your desk) so make sure it can fit onto your desk before purchasing. Also be sure to check your monitor mount type and ensure that the arm is compatible! My own monitor was not compatible so I made some modifications to make it mountable and its been working great.
