This product has made gardening and planting so much easier and less time consuming. The first time I used this auger drill bit was to dig holes to transplant daylilies and irises. This bit made digging holes so much faster and less labor intensive. The two things that I would look out for when using this tool are (1) be careful when using the tool near thick roots as the bit will catch and possibly dislodge and (2) make sure that you pull back a weed barrier before drilling.
I’ll definitely keep this tool in my gardening bag and use this all year round. This was a great buy!

I wish that I would have purchased this years ago. Breaks up dirt for planting bulbs, bushes, trees, etc, as long as you have a good drill.

If you’re using this to dig in your garden for planting bulbs, this is not going to do it…unless you have a very heavy and powerful drill. It will not hold even in a larger standard home imrovement drill. First, it’s too heavy and tends to slip out, and then it slips and grinds at the least snag or root in the soil, and then strips the post. It’s pretty much a waste of metal.

For what I paid for this little gem it surpassed my expectations. Itโs constructed extremely well and should last for years and years and what a time saver. I bought 100 daffodil bulbs to plant this past October and the thought of being on my hands and knees with one of those little flower garden shovels digging 100 holes was dreadful because my knees arenโt what they used to be so I looked around to see what I could find to help me out and came across this little auger. This thing works great drilling out a perfect hole for planting. It doesnโt work perfectly all the time though but thatโs only due to the soil which should be loose to begin with. It will catch if there are stones under the surface which is understandable and roots can be a problem also but keeping pruning shears close by can help with this other than that this is a perfect inexpensive tool for all your small hole drilling needs. I was able to drill out all 100 holes in 1/4 the time. I highly recommend this tool!

So glad I purchased this. Our land has a lot of roots and rocks that make shoveling each plant a completely pain. This tool reduced the time it takes to plant and the manual labor. Definitely recommend if you have a few or a lot of plants to get in the ground. We had a few different brand drills and it worked smooth on all of them.
