I think these lights are fantastic! They are a bit pricey, but I got the Black Friday deal which gave me $100 off. Hanging the lights was not as easy as they say. My house is made of wood and the 3M tape just wasn’t going to cut it. Plus it’s really hot where I live so I know the tape would just melt. We used the clips that came with the lights, but the screws are tiny and difficult; plus there weren’t enough clips. So, we bought nail in wire clips that we got from Home Depot (which are also available on Amazon). The nail in clips were a lot easier to use and we put them on either side of each light to hold them well. (Like I said my house is wood so nailing in clips was easier). The lights look amazing and I’m really happy with them – nice and bright and colorful. In fact, I like them so much, I bought a second set! No more climbing a ladder to put up holiday lights!
People are writing reviews complaining that the plug is not waterproof. However, Eufy offers a free waterproof box! All you have to do is email them and they will send you one. Info is in the app.
The app is pretty awesome, and there are so many lighting scenes to choose from! I like that the lights can be fully customized with scenes and can be set to go on at off whenever I want.
The Eufy lights are really fun and I am glad I bought them!

(I’ll preface this by saying that, in my opinion.. nothing beats the warm glow of the lights in the picture… I love old-school, incandescent, warm, glowing lights like the ones I remember from my youth.)
I had the original Govee version and took them down and replaced them with these. Installation , brightness and build quality seem to be comparable. But these were much cheaper (when purchased from the States), and I love the natural warm white and their ability to more closely resemble the warm glow of traditional incandescent Christmas lights. I also enjoy the less stark shadow. I don’t love the stark scalloped light cut off of the Govees.

I am in love with this outdoor light set. SO much functionality and looks lovely on the house!

I really like these lights. After planning out where each strand will go, I got the whole setup -200′ worth of strands – in about an hour. Make sure you clean the surface with alcohol before you stick the lights on with the included 3M adhesive tape. I made the mistake of forgetting to clean a few spots before sticking up the lights, and one came off. If the lights fall… this is likely the reason. Once they are stuck on, the adhesive is solid.
The lights are very bright but can be dimmed in the app to be almost non visible if you want. The app includes dozens of different “scenes” and customization options. The basic customization are super easy to use, but you can also really get into the details with the DIY customization. Each individual light is programmable. Additionally, these lights are bright enough to use as security lights if you want and can be put on a timer.
I will also say that these lights are a case of “you get what you pay for.” The cabling, lights, connections, and app all seem to have gone through quality assurance testing. The app user interface, especially, is better than most other smart device apps I’ve used in the past.
Finally, the customer service is top notch. I sent them an email about missing the extension cable, and they replied to me the next day saying that they will send one out to me right away.
I could not be happier with eufy permanent outdoor lights , and plan to buy more products from them in the future.

Disappointed.
I have many Eufy products and view them all in high regard, but this product is unusable.
Bluetooth connection is spotty at best even with the phone right next to the lights, tried with multiple phones so it’s a confirmed problem with the lights.
There is no way to update the firmware to take advantage of the app to its fullest, and as I’m outside of my return window I’m stuck with these useless lights.

I love that these has a warm white light option that Govee does not have, unless you pay the extra $200 for the pro version. It was easy to install, but I did have issues with the control unit not working after I put up the lights. I was able to get a new unit shipped to me the same day from Amazon. I didn’t bother dealing with Eufy customer support since they are closed during the weekend, and Amazon offered same day delivery. Another con was the lights not turning off the scheduled time, but after one day, it corrected itself.
On the positive side, the app is really easy to use. The colors or the lights are super bright and vivid. There are many preset options for all the holidays thru out the year, as well as options to customize.
