J’ai utilisé plusieurs peaux de grosse caisse, mais celle là, pour moi, c’est vraiment la meilleure de toutes… elle est facile à accorder, et une fois réglée, elle ne bouge pas.Le son est chaud, rond avec une basse bien

I am a Remo guy for sure but I find myself coming back to this head a lot recently. I use a variety of kick drums, mainly Gretsch & Ayotte. I had been using Power Stroke 3’s because of their attack. What I want more than that is a warm, huge funky tone with good feel. The EMAD keeps doing that. I like them so much I have switched over all my kicks to them. On a 20″ X 16″ or 18″ the drum sounds much bigger than it is. On stage it is wonderful. At home practicing it gives me back the sound I want which is rounder and deeper than the PS 3. These heads are durable as well so you won’t be compromising durability. Hope this helps you guys & gals…

Profile: Very experienced player, now a very old man…sorta. Been doing this a while.
Used on: DW Performance Series (cause I liked it), HVX Maple, Oil Stain. 16×20 Bass Drum. Rogers new generation Swiv-O-Matic pedal, combo Felt/Acrylic beater.
OK, Swapped out the stock DW by Remo head as…well..it just wasn’t cutting it; such a let down. Had used EMAD2 on the Yamahas I sold and the difference was sooo…WHOA!!! So…Stupid incredible AWESOME GREATNESS!!!
Went from “thud” to a couple of octives lower KABOOM. This is without a doubt the best STRIKE SIDE bass drum (kick) head out there, and that was without messing with the heavier dampening ring, even took the impact side DW pillow out. I was tempted to try the GMAD but went with a tried and true. So glad I did and you can CHOOSE your POW!
The other payback I didn’t see in the reviews I read was the FEEL. Yes, it tunes right up, but, BUT that, THAT…FEEL!!!
Using the new–returned to production–Rogers Swiv-O-Matic pedal and I can get wappity-wappity triplets noooo problem. What a great piece of work! I Wish all drum products made such a stand out difference.
**Stop shopping and just buy it! **
UPDATE06/2022. The EMAD2 is my go to bass drum head. The swap-able foam inserts are a game changer. Recently bought the NEW EMAD2 HEAVYWEIGHT to use for a 24” Gong drum (14”/24” bass drum) and it’s a jaw dropper. This is most likely THE best drum head for it’s category of a good solid thud.

This particular Evans bass drum head is a sweet spot between too much ring and not enough body. I watched a video on the various Evans option, selected this, and have been very pleased. Check out their videos, since there are multiple varieties of everything today. I use Evans heads on all my drums. When combined with proper tuning, they’re great at providing a sound quality to match your style and acoustic environment.

Su una cassa da 18″ esce un bel suono fermo il giusto e con un discreto volume senza dover inserire nulla all interno.

Great product. I’m on like 10 of these by now. And always consistent quality/tone.

I usually use the emad1 but the 2 actually sounds better to me. I am using it on all my sets. It’s a must have. No pillows. Tune with the wrinkle method and you can’t mess it up.

the tone of this skin is perfect for rock and pop
defined punchy attack and full deep power that sound amazing when mike’s and going through a big PA with decent subs
use with the evans eq pads to dampen and u have the perfect combination
my opinion as a pro drummer and music producer this is the King of bass drum skins

The Evans EMAD 2 Bass Drum Head is superb. It’s easy to tune, highly durable, and versatile, especially for Spanish Christian music. It delivers a very good punchy sound with excellent tone and feel. Additionally, it offers great value for money, making it a smart investment for any drummer.

Me habían recomendado este parche, confié y fue una gran elección. El sonido es más claro, directo sin armónicos, pero con mucha presencia de los graves.

I was blown away at how much this changed the sound of my bass drum. With the Evans Heavy snare head it ‘s the sound I have been looking for my entire life. I had a B3 Batter head years ago. This is a huge improvement.
