Takes awhile to attach the net portion but it is relatively simple. This street hockey net is more similar to an actual ice hockey net than any other street Mickey net I’ve seen. It is built well. The fold-up feature was tricky at first but after a little persistence it is now easy to fold up to store or transport. This net is worth the price tag in my opinion. If you’re looking for a cheaper price point, there are other nets out there that will do the trick. But if you’re looking for a sturdy net with regulation size and a regulation feel, this net is the answer.

This net is SUPER high quality! The piping is durable, though it will dent only very slightly when hit by pucks. It can be a little challenging to fit the net onto the frame (it’s a tight fit!), but once it’s done, this net surpasses in quality every other net of equal or higher price. We haven’t folded it or taken it outside from our basement shooting range yet due to winter, but friends who’ve had the net for years and leave it outside all year ’round have seen no degradation of the netting. Contrast that to other nets, whose fabric “tunnels” (through which the tube frame runs) rot in about a month. I would HIGHLY recommend this goal!

This is a great goal. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it’s held up great.
Set-up: Plan to take about an hour to and hour and a half minimum to set this up. Putting the frame together is simple and quick, but you will have to “thread” the netting onto the frame. This takes time. Overall the process is simple though.
Build quality: Great overall, but not perfect. The netting is pretty snug, so shots can bounce back out easily. No gripes about this however because the puck comes back more easily. The posts are regulation width, but not super thick. I’ve put a few dents in it using a Green Biscuit Snipe puck (they work great together for outdoor shooting), but it hasn’t come close to affecting the structural integrity. I’m sure roller or ice pucks can dent them with hard enough shots as well, but don’t let that prevent you from buying it. This net is still much lighter than a regulation net and It’ll take quite a few shots in the same place to start to cause problems.
Storage: Ok, so the top shelf and bottom frame fold up so that it can store in more of a flat position. This is great for storage. The snug net makes it a little difficult to pull apart and put together, but it is manageable. Since there are quite a few questions asking about whether it will fit in a car, it most likely won’t. As it only folds up, the dimensions would be 72″ wide by 48″ high making it too large to fit in the majority of cars. Should fit in a van or SUV without much problem.
Overall the net is great. It is perfect for personal or recreational use. It does dent with hard shots, but it holds up to a lot of abuse. I would definitely buy it again.
End Notes: I use the “Green Biscuit Snipe” pucks with this net. I also have the matching backstop. Overall, it is a great setup with nice additions available.

This is a great quality hockey net for the price. Myself and my kids love it. Setup is a bit tedious but worth it.
The hardest part is the mesh. I recommend where the red tag is in the mesh zip tie to middle of the crossbar. And the blue tag for the bottom middle zip tie that as well. Start at the bottom of the net at one post and work your way around from there. Hope this helps.

The directions are easy to follow and set up is not too hard. The net is time consuming and zip ties can be easier then tying the whole thing. The fold of the goal is not a clean half fold to lay flat and it is enough to save space. Solid, sturdy and will last.

It takes a little bit of time and patience to add the netting but it’s so worth it. My son and I use this goal most days in our driveway. I throw on my goalie gear and pretend that I’m a kid again, it’s so much fun. I’m icing my muscles way more these days, but that’s not the goals fault!

I’m going to shoot 200-300 ice hockey pucks every week at this goal, and I think this thing could take it. Getting the net attached requires patience. Start with one of the lower corners and work your way around. It actually helps to attach some carabiners to each corner to keep the right tension on the net. Bonus tip, a large painter’s drop cloth makes the perfect puck catcher which only costs maybe 20 bucks at a local hardware store. It could also be used to make a shooter tutor as you can see my picture.

Received this net yesterday and had it assembled and strung together in an hour or so. Frame is very easy to assemble, and the netting was straightforward to install, albeit a tad time consuming (not the fault of the product, just a hockey net thing). The netting and string seems pretty high quality – not quite regulation net quality, but I’d say 80% of the way there, which does the job for a back yard net. My only small gripe, and I feel like I knew better, was the 75 MPH rating. Once I got the net assembled I got it onto my backyard covid-inspired ice rink and fired a few pucks at it. The first snap shot that found the post left a pretty noticeable dent. Now I’d love to be the kind of dad that can rip 75 MPH snappers standing on ice in my sneakers, but that’s just not reality. That aside, this net will definitely stand up to shots from my now 5 year old for a good 5-10 years, so maybe dad just has to dial it back a bit.

Quite durable. I bought this for my son. The netting stops my slap shot and wrist shot easily. I hit the post dead on, left a very small dent. If you hit the post or crossbar not square, a small black mark is made, no dent. Probably the best on the market for durability and price.I went through several nets when growing up eventually having to build one. I honestly think this frame will stand the test of time. You might have to replace the mesh after several years of outdoor use. Buy once, cry once. Buy the side wings and upper puck stop package too. It’ll stop pucks flying up when aiming for the crossbar.
