Mi hija estuvo contentísima con esta revista. Sus animales preferidos con unas fotos excelentes. El nivel es adecuado para niños pero hay vocabulario un poco difícil para niños que no son de habla inglesa. Pero con el diccionario y un poco de ayuda se lee muy bien.
Suzie Rodland –
I love this series for my own family as well as students. The photos are vibrant, and the content and vocabulary are well-suited to building academic understanding for students grade K-3. This volume might be best for 1st graders as it contains levels 1 and 2.

We love this book as well as all the others like it. They’re full of great facts, amazing pictures, and cute little jokes. These are littles side notes “facts” on most pages reiterating specifics about each individual book as well. We love that each book is divided into sections about about a different animal/type. These are all a great addition to any home library for the animal lover in your family! We use this as part of our homeschool library for the little ones to take control of their own learning environment.

Excellently knowledgeable book.
Glòria –
Very good books and interesting content. The level 1 section is much higher than the level 1 phonics books from school

I bought this and other National Geographic Kids collections for my 4-year-old daughter, who is a precocious reader and very interested in animals and in the natural world. These books are absolutely perfect for her at this stage, the logical next step after she had mastered the Scholastic Guided Science Readers. The collections combine levels 1 & 2, which was convenient once my daughter was ready for the slightly more challenging material. The layout is colorful and attractive, without being too busy. The average ratio of words to pictures is appropriate, with enough “extras” along the way (captions, jokes, vocabulary words) to make each page interesting. The format is both traditional (table of contents, glossary) and creative (short, themed chapters). I like the overall mix of text, images, diagrams, maps, and numbers, and so does my daughter! We supplement the readings with NatGeo Kids short documentaries. These NGK collections are an essential addition to my daughter’s reading library, which tends to be fiction-heavy in this age range. Highly recommended.
Tara Lynn –
Lovely books. Not as easy to read as I’d hoped, but I’ll save it for next year.
Jesseca Turner –
Lots of fun and educational.
Satisfied customer –
My 2nd grader enjoyed this book. She was able to read it by herself. She remembered details about the featured animals and repeatedly talked about what she learned.
Matt –
Colorful, beautiful pictures of animals
Easy text for the juniors

My daughter turns 7 in 16 days. She’s in first grade, at a level “J” it was pretty a pretty easy read for her, only needing help with a few words. Each sub book is about 30 pages of reading. There is good information in it.
Maha Philip Amin –
Good blend of pictures and words for this level reader.
