I have no interest in brand names or specs on strings. That out of the way, the high price of Elixir or D’Addario coated strings is IMO way over the top.
I feel the Duratone sound is better compared to Elixir (there are some videos on YouTube comparing them), it’s deeper and richer and more lively in tones. Feel is very smooth, they last great (been months so far no signs of any issues). I used to use Phosphor Bronze mostly, now it’s these 80/20 ones all the way. They’re probably made by D’Addario, with Fender spec/coatings, no idea. I just know I found what I wanted in these, the Cort 730FX I have just came to life when I put these on it, meaty full sound but also subtle and rich. Dark deep and intense, ideal for many styles and Blues. 3 months in daily playing and they’re still good!
Unlike some coated strings which can dull the sound, these are right on the mark tones wise.

For my guitar they are OEM strings. I love the tone very clear and crisp with great lows, mids, and high tones on my guitar. The DURA TONE COATING adds a bit more depth and durability and smooth playing on the strings. They are so comfortable and last longer than others I tried and stands the tests of time. Very easy to use! Very durable! I ❤️ them.

When I first recieved these strings, they were defective and broke while stringing my guitar. I contacted the company, because this was a defective product. Fender makes far higher quality products than the defective one I received. Anyway, the seller was very helpful, regretful, and sent me a new set of strings free of charge!! That’s phenomenal customer service!!! I was not expecting the company to be understanding, and I especially did not expect a free replacement! They definitely went above and beyond. 🙂 The new strings are quality, and I am perfectly satisfied. 🙂

I recently bought a Fender acoustic guitar that came with these strings. I really liked the tone and quality of the strings, but almost fell over when I saw the price of them at my local music store and Amazon Canada. When I found them on Amazon.com for less than $9 a set, I ordered three sets. I play the guitar everyday and almost two months in, these strings still sound and play great. They don’t appear to get as brittle feeling as other coated strings I’ve used after a few weeks. Guess we’ll see if they last as long as the Elixir coated strings I have been using for my acoustic guitars.

YES !!!- Finally found the high note/cord sweet sound I was looking for. The clear crisp highs up on the fret board cords sound great together in a very nice match of tones. You have to work at it to get the high e string to sing for you but the extra work is worth it. The fender strings complement the fender guitar CD-60. Most all the cords in ALL the areas have a nice strong harmonic sound in ALL my songs.. I HAVE TRIED A LOT OF DIFF STRINGS. They also bounce nicely as I strum back and forth. Tension is pretty even. There is some high pitch ringing when you hit cretin cords that are similar in the high zone but WELL worth it since ALL of my songs I play ALL sound good with these strings. All other strings I have tried can’t seem to make ALL the songs sound perfect and tuned in a very nice harmony. With the dura-tone coated you can slid a bit up and down with out to much drag. I ordered some Elixir light nanoweb as back up for one last try at improvement ,, I believe I will get the same type of beautiful tones and sound on all songs but am worried about the to much slipperyness Elixir has.But will try and let you know.. I really Love the fender strings and in the long run after MUCH testing I’ll be sticking with the great tones of the Fenders dura-tone coated lights.

These are the strings that came with my Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster. They fit and perform perfectly, and last for several gigs!

I’m pretty heavy handed when it comes to strumming guitar. This generally comes with broken strings, however I have been playing these strings for about 6 months and feel like this strings could last forever. Great sound, great durability and great feel. Not too bright (I hate elixirs for this reason.) and not bass heavy either. I love Martins but this might be my new string.

I liked they delivered so fast and now I can restring an old starter kit guitar with stock strings. It’s actually a pretty good guitar even though it’s got plywood back and sides. The bridge pulled up so restring is necessary. After these Fender acoustics are gone through, you can be considered to have done lutherie because you need to resurface the soundboard for the bridge, reglue bridge, file the nut,and maybe shim bridge on some models. It’s fun.
