Good addition. Have some physical issues so this short scale really helps when I can’t get the big boy out. Has good sound ans is a bit easier to play. I like that both P&J pickups are there sor me to “fiddle” with.

Everything came flawless and as described. Iโve been playing bass for around 20 years and having this Mustang now is so fun. The smaller scale fretboard is the first selling point for me. Then pretty much every part on this bass is killer! Comes with the build tags still on the guitar showing who built, tuned & tested the guitar straight from Fender. Lovein all of this bass!!

Quite a lot of good things to say about this bass. Short scale makes it easier to play, sounds great. Finish is perfect. It will be the one I probably play the most. Itโs to bad that I gave it Four stars, to bad that one canโt give it Four and one half. I did so because of the sharp fret ends from the manufacture. Itโs not fret sprout it sharp ends that will have to be addressed. But itโs not all of them it looks like someone was in a hurry. I can do them myself so itโs not like I have to pay someone to do it. I do have to say again that everything else is perfect. Packing kept it safe while being shipped. Came when promised. I know I will enjoy playing it.

I’ve played on and off for 55- plus years on several basses and this is THE one. My first was a 59 Precision which got me through 1985 when I took a 25-year hiatus. After that a couple of Epiphones, a couple of Squiers, a Gretsch and then the Mustang. For my purposes it’s the perfect bass. I do lots of blues, some classic rock and some country. I’ve got LaBella flats on it for some extra thud. It’s got a narrow neck, it’s playable, and it’s light (important for a diminutive and aging player.) I had to adjust the intonation, but other than that, everything was great right out of the box.

Some instruments are tools be it good or bad, every now and then you find one that inspires the musician and releases songs and riffs that might not have been there before this MIM Mustang Bass did just that, I owned a USA Mustang bass back in the 70โs and regretted selling it for the past 30 years, when I saw the new line of Mustangs with Jazz and P Bass pickups I took the plunge. Great bass the added pickup option has improved the tone no end the original Mustang pickups werenโt very good. All round quality build played great out of the box. Buy it.

The bass had a issue with the volume. Great look but no choice to return the article

A quality bass that is a joy to play.

Great bass, however, I canโt turn the tone knob up or else I get a really bad buzz. Hopefully I can take apart the components and itโs just a grounding issue.

I love this short scale Mustang bass! I bought it about a year ago and it has become my favorite instrument to play. I would give it 5 stars but the pick ups were standard MIM Fender stuff which Iโm not impressed with. I replaced them with Seymour Duncan quarter pounds and this thing came to life! It looks like a jr model but plays and sounds like a beast!

It’s not the only bass I’ve played but it is the first one I’ve owned. I am used to playing electric guitar and am not a big guy so I thought the size of this would work well and it’s been perfect. It sounds great and the smaller size makes it easy to play. It’s just a ton of fun to just pick up and start playing. The ability to switch between p-bass, j-bass, or combo gives a lot of tonal flexibility. My only advice would be to get a pro setup, though I think that’s true for any new guitar. Mine only needed slight adjustments and a little sanding of fret edges. Also get specific short scale strings. The factory strings come with what looks like long scale strings that have been cut down. The strings aren’t that great and they make the tension really “floppy.” I put a set of GHS bright flats on and it plays like a dream and the string tension is great.
