I have a full set of dumbbells, but my son keeps stealing my heavier weights to use for his workouts. I had been resistant to getting him his own set because of the cost. Then I came across this set — actually a PAIR (not just one) for less than the price I had been finding for a single 20# dumbbell. So I immediately ordered them. They arrived, and other than a pretty strong chemical smell that I assume will wear off as they air out, they look just like the ones in my full set. I like the Hex ends as they work better when you have to hold the set together for a move. There is a metal textured grip with a slight flare in the center that helps with grip. Very happy with this find!

Good weights for inside my house! I have a trailer, and my floors are made of 3/4” plywood, and have laminate on them. The rubber coating doesn’t dent or damage my floors!

They are okay, they did smell a little bit at first but don’t notice it couple weeks later. They do however stick to whatever you lay them on. I put them on a cement floor in the garage and they stuck to it, put them on a wood table for a day and left black rubber marks on that also. The quality is not great but they do the job.

Nice set of dumbbells, although these have a stonger rubber smell than the previous set i ordered, but nonetheless they are well made and the smell goes away eventually !

After reading a lot of reviews, I was expecting a stronger rubbery smell to these, and was fine with it due to the price—But these had a very minor smell that was not bothersome at all…Like the smell I expect anything made of that material to have, but it wasn’t strong like I thought it would be. I love these weights and have been implementing them into my program! I think they’re a great deal for the price, and feel just like the weights I’ve used in the gym. Great quality for a steal.

A box with 100 pounds of weights seems like it could easily break and lose contents. This box contained plywood plates on the top and bottom to prevent such a mishap. The weights were also packed in pairs in smaller boxes inside the larger main box. So no contents lost. The dumbbells’ metal handles had a coating of oil that smells like machine oil, so I wiped them off, and am now waiting for the smell of the oil to dissipate like the customer reviews say that it will. Since these 8 dumbbells cost altogether only about $120.00, I’ll assume that these are concrete rather than steel weights, and will treat them accordingly so that they don’t get damaged. I wasn’t planning to be throwing them around or dropping them on hard floors anyway.
