I am going to use this for inside the vehicle. Sometimes you need a blade or scissors to open a package or miscellaneous. The action is a bit stiff but I would rather have that than the thing falling apart. It is worth the money spent. Will it compare
to other big names, maybe not but it depends on what your using it for. Overall I like it and may purchase another one for whatever area I may require it (work, hobby area).

I have a Gerber multi-tool that I’ve occasionally used for over 20 years now…and it’s still in good shape. I find multi-tools to be just moderately useful for any of the functions they provide. They have their limits, and are never as good as a single-purpose designed tool (knife, razor, pliers, file, etc.), but are great for a quick cut or twist. I’ve use the file on my Gerber to smooth off burrs or sharp edges a few times on wood and metal. And I’ve used the screwdrivers…and the larger knife. So I often throw my Gerber on my belt if I’m working around the house or doing a cable installation project. I also think that these are great tools to have in emergency/survival/trauma packs.
So I have my Gerber…and I’ve used Leatherman’s…both are quality brands in my historical opinion. And I’ve used Wally specials made of polished pot-metal that snapped or bent in my hand.
Without the historical rigor and use of this tool, I can’t say how durable this tool is compared to the industry name brands. But I can tell you that this has a similar heft, brushed steel, and tight fit and finish as the quality tools I’ve held. There’s no indication of the steel type used in these tools, so it’s hard to say with any assurance. The grips have rounded edges, so they are generally good/painless with a firm squeeze in a bare hand, though there is a minor hotspot in the palm from the bottom inside grip corner. But this is generally expected for multi-tools…and I’m being picky.
The ruler is a little short, but I’ll never use it anyway. A saw blade would be better (I’ve used the one in my Gerber to cut small wood pieces/burrs off, and also as a drywall knife.)…and also a (proper) file for the reason I stated above.
I can’t say without a history of use and abuse on how well this tool compares to my Gerber, but it seems well made and is well above the quality of the other, cheaper multi-tools I’ve held. And also FWIW, I’ve used a few Flissa knives…that were also affordable and quality made for what they are.
The carrying case/holster is made of weaved-nylon like most. The stitching is good and I really appreciate that they used a button-clasp over Velcro/hook-loop.

I’ve had a Leatherman for years, and the tip finally broke off on the pliers, and I was in the market for a new multi-tool. This one came around, and I decided to give it a try.
It comes in a generic brown box, and everything then is nicely packaged in some clear plastic. It does include a nice black case as well.
As far as the tool itself, I feel it is very well made. It’s solid, and very easy to pull out each of the tool options. Once a particular tool is pulled out, it’s locked in place. It took me a bit to figure out to unlock it, as the tool doesn’t come with any instructions. I found out pretty quickly, however. There is a slide on both sides that you have to slide. Once that is done, it’s pretty easy to unlock the particular tool, and move it back to the storage position. As I’m writing this, I’m thinking that may make it a little difficult, with having to slide with two fingers, while holding the tool, ad then using your other hand to move the particular tool. I don’t recall really having that issue though.
As mentioned by the listing, it comes with 16 different tool options, all very handy and secure. At nearly $32, I do think it might be a little pricey, but I do think it is cheaper than the name brand Leatherman, for sure.

Had this for a couple months. Expected it to break by now. It’s still going strong and sharp, even after cutting through chain link (on my own property). Only downside is the handle digs into your hands but it’s given me more than I expected for such a cheap thing. Worth the money if you need something until you can get something high end.

I always have spare multi-tools handy, as I loose them as quick as I get them. This sub $30 multi tool is a no brainer, if lost not a big deal but also:
1. Tool is not bad for the price. Nice finish and build quality is descent.
2. Handle grips are good, not slippery or overly soft and sticky.
3. Scissor actually cuts in one attempt. Others tend to flex at the pivot and fail to cut anything?
4. Knife is very sharp enough, but razor sharp, which is perfectly fine.
5. Pliers have spring loaded jaws with smooth opening/closing. Handles expand just the right amount to hold in full grip.
6. Folding action is tight but I’ll try loosening them up with a little graphite etc. Each tool locks in place and requires pulling down on a spring loaded release button.
Unfortunately on one of my release buttons it appears to get stuck, effectively making it difficult to retract the tool. Another miss, its not easy to pull out each of the tool bits particularly on the right side with the screwdriver, you just can’t get your nails in there, plus it’s so tight!
