Read-Love-Review Blog –
Enfim, recomendo!
Fernanda Galvan –
This book is a beautiful, consuming, addicting fantasy that I wish I could read all over again for the first time! The pacing is absolutely spot on, it includes a slow burn, enemies to lovers angsty romance that sparks right off the page, incredible but easy to follow world building and my absolute favourite trope of found family!
The reader is pulled in to the breathtaking world of a war college for dragon riders, we meet Violet as she is forced to follow in her families footsteps and enter the riders quadrant, instead of becoming a scribe (a scholar). Violet struggles with chronic pain and weak joints, I appreciated the author giving a voice to chronic conditions while demonstrating the Violet’s resilience in how she overcame her bodies differences, never treating them as a disability but just as something unique.
One of the greatest strengths of this book lies in its meticulous world-building. The author creates a vivid universe, rich in intricate details that transport readers to a realm where imagination runs wild. Each setting is exquisitely described, effortlessly pulling us into the heart of the story. I could so clearly picture each individual setting in my head, it was such a unique and intriguing fantasy world. And the dragons…I have never been so entranced by fantasy creatures in a book before!
The characters are equally exceptional. Rebecca Yarros masterfully crafts a diverse cast that is not only relatable but also leaves a lasting impression. Their strengths, vulnerabilities, and complex emotions make them feel like genuine individuals, with whom readers can form deep connections. Watching their personal journeys unfold and witnessing their growth is a true pleasure. I also loved the inclusion of LGBTQ+ characters without making them a stereotype or token character placed simply to fill a quota. Sexual and gender identities were mentioned but never hovered on, it was a very small but heartwarming detail.
I very much enjoyed how Violet’s journey coming into her true powers was realistic, she wasn’t automatically the strongest and best candidate, she had to work harder and smarter than the rest of the riders. Resilience is a central theme in this book. The characters face daunting challenges, both physical and emotional, and the author expertly portrays their perseverance and unwavering determination. Through their struggles, the reader is reminded of the power of the human spirit and the indomitable will to overcome even the most daunting obstacles.
The plot of is an exhilarating rollercoaster ride from start to finish. Action-packed sequences and heart-stopping moments keep readers on the edge of their seats, desperate to uncover what lies around the next corner. Rebecca Yarros skillfully balances intensity with moments of respite, allowing readers to catch their breath before plunging them back into the heart-pounding action. The intricate twists and turns keep the plot engaging, ensuring that boredom never has a chance to set in. And when I say heart-pounding, I truly mean this, as the last action sequence had me so intensely concentrated that my apple watch gave me a warning that my heart rate was rising without any exercise occurring, I was that invested!
This is an outstanding novel that deserves all the praise it has been receiving and more. With its exceptional world-building, well-developed characters, thrilling plot, and theme of resilience, it captivated me from the very beginning. Rebecca Yarros’s skillful storytelling transports readers to a realm where imagination knows no bounds, leaving you yearning for more. Prepare to be swept away on a breathtaking journey that will leave you exhilarated and inspired. This is a true fantasy masterpiece!!
Kali Braithwaite –
Rebecca Yarros’ Fourth Wing is an exhilarating, emotional, and utterly captivating ride from start to finish. Set in the brutal and enchanting world of Basgiath War College, the novel delivers a perfect blend of fantasy, action, and romance that keeps readers hooked until the very last page.
The story follows Violet Sorrengail, a determined and resilient young woman forced into the elite dragon riders’ quadrant, where survival is anything but guaranteed. Violet’s journey is filled with high stakes, intense challenges, and emotional turmoil, but her growth from a hesitant scholar to a fierce and capable warrior is both inspiring and gripping. Her strength is not just physical but mental and emotional, which makes her an incredibly relatable and compelling protagonist.
Yarros’ world-building is rich and immersive, filled with intricate political dynamics, detailed histories, and, of course, dragons—majestic, dangerous, and intelligent creatures who steal the show. The dragon-human bond is beautifully explored, adding layers of depth to the story and introducing a fascinating magic system that feels fresh and unique.
The romance between Violet and Xaden, a brooding and complex figure, is intense and full of tension. Their relationship evolves naturally amidst the chaos of their dangerous world, making it both heart-pounding and swoon-worthy. It’s not just a love story—it’s about trust, betrayal, and personal growth, all woven seamlessly into the plot.
Yarros does a brilliant job of balancing action-packed scenes with quieter moments of introspection and character development. Every twist and turn keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the ending leaves you craving more, setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable series.
Fourth Wing is a must-read for fans of fantasy, offering a perfect mix of danger, intrigue, and romance. Rebecca Yarros has crafted a masterful tale that stands out in the genre, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you love stories of resilience, complex characters, and epic dragon-filled adventures, this book will not disappoint!

La trama del libro esta increible, fluye muy rapido todo y jamas te aburre. El romance es bueno, pero lo mas increible son los dragones. Lo super recomiendo, me mantuvo entretenida desde la pagina uno hasta que se acabo!!
Sascha –
I never thought of myself as a fan of fantasy literature, so l was skeptical about picking up this book. But „Fourth Wing” turned out to be the biggest surprise of the year!
The story centers on Violet, who is forced by her mother to join the dragon rider quadrant, rather than the scribe quadrant she always believed she would enter. The path to becoming a dragon rider is brutal and deadly, with only the strongest surviving the training. Violet, seen as fragile and unprepared, must bond with a dragon to unlock the powerful connection that brings… or die trying.
This book pulled me in from the first page, and I couldn’t put it down. The world-building is simply magnificent—| felt like I was watching a gripping movie unfold. Yet, it doesn’t get bogged down with unnecessary descriptions, which was a major plus for me. And the chemistry and tension between the two main characters? Absolutely on point! It’s delivered in just the right doses, adding depth to the story without overwhelming it.
„Fourth Wing” surprised me in all the best ways and has quickly become one of my favorites of the year. Even if you’re not a fantasy reader, this book is well worth your time!

Kali Braithwaite –
This book begins with a map to help the reader navigate the fantasy world in the pages. Violet is weaker than others, but her mother, the General at Basgiath War College, has enrolled her to become a dragon rider.Â
I love that her issues are mentioned in the book but not fully identified. I picked up this story based on other reviews, chronic illness in the pages, and the overall hype about it.Â
This book starts out right away with the action-adventure and edge-of-your-seat moments. Dain is nice, hot, and has a history with Violet, but intimacy is forbidden. Xaden is intriguing. He is complicated, male, and scary.Â
This book is absolutely addicting. You don’t want to put it down. The Riders Quadrants is like an academy with only the best surviving. Violet is brilliant but at a disadvantage with her disability. This storyline is a mix of the dragon riders from “Eragon “and the heroine-heavy storyline of “Divergent.”Â
The story is gritty and rife with trials of heroism. But this fantasy is thrilling, fascinating, and exciting. I absolutely love Violet’s grit. Violet is a particular case because of her empathy and cunningness. Still, she is also in a love triangle, choosing between her friend and her enemy.Â
The dragon gifts are otherworldly and amazing.Â
This story is about edge-of-seat, non-stop life and death, but our heroine grows stronger daily. This story gets steamy, but her intimate moment is with the last person I expected it to be. They have more of an armed truce.Â
Omg her power is so good. 😊 it gets new adult steamy and brings in the enemies-to-lovers trope. Oh, so the romance finally makes its way into a fantasy story.Â
Of course, their explosive intimacy gets sidetracked by an attack. Ah, the love triangle is tested and broken as she finally decides, it is slowly coming anyway. The end of this is very twisted and immensely intense. The mythological creatures in the book become more than just the dragons.
Action-packed, life and death are hanging in the balance of their decisions, with one massive surprise at the end. Yes, this ends in a cliffhanger. I’m still rooting for Violet and Xaden, no matter what side they are on; these dragon riders have completely stolen my heart. What a fantastic read! This book is worth all the hype and more.Â
I love the blurb at the end and the author identifying herself in the characters. The fact that she is chronically ill also makes my heart swell as she portrays her characters amazingly. I adore that this book is more new adult and not steamy every other chapter or page. I love that action and adventure, as well as the angst; it sucks you into the story so completely.
The political stuff in this book is way more constant, with the rebellion and the Navarrian characters having to navigate around each other in the same setting.
