I like the tool its been very helpful but on some of the main reasons I got this it was useless i couldn’t relearn my crank position sensor i couldn’t register my battery even though the advertisement said it did all those things when I was reading the information on this im getting very frustrated with false advertisement wasting my time and money

Used this tool on a 2014 Chevy Spark. StabiliTrak light was on with a code for the Brake Pedal Position Sensor. The part was only $20, but you can’t just throw a new sensor in. The replacement sensor has to be calibrated to the car, or the light stays on and the system will not work. This tool allowed me to view all faults in the car, clear them, and learn in the new Brake Pedal Position Sensor. Only complaint is the menus are a bit confusing, and it took me some time to find what menu the correct “learn” option was in. The BPP Sensor is learned in the Body Control Module, and I needed to select “yes” that the Spark had GMLAN to access it. Once I figured that out, the whole operation was done in a couple minutes. Probably paid for itself already since I’m sure the local GM dealer would have charged at least 2 hours to do it. Definitely will use it again if I come across another GM that needs specialized diagnostics.

I bought this with the GM software. Successfully used on a pair of 99 trucks and a pair of 2007 HHRs.

Pros: Key fobs, crankcase relearn, ABS brake bleeding, crap ton of other things you can do with this. For not much more than basic scanner you get near Tech2 access to all components.

Cons: ODB and firmware info only on late models, I tried it on a 2020 Equinox and it was basic ODB plus firmware version info only. And this thing is slow. It also “locked up” twice, screen went blank, and had to unplug to reset it.

But it’s still worth the money if works for your vehicle. I’m quite happy with mine.
